| 1 | Amo ao Senhor, porque elle ouviu a minha voz e a minha supplica. | I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. |
| 2 | Porque inclinou a mim os seus ouvidos; portanto o invocarei emquanto viver. | Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. |
| 3 | Os cordeis da morte me cercaram, e angustias do inferno se apoderaram de mim: encontrei aperto e tristeza. | The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. |
| 4 | Então invoquei o nome do Senhor, dizendo: Ó Senhor, livra a minha alma. | Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. |
| 5 | Piedoso é o Senhor e justo: o nosso Deus tem misericordia. | Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. |
| 6 | O Senhor guarda aos simplices: fui abatido, mas elle me livrou. | The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. |
| 7 | Alma minha, volta para o teu repouso, pois o Senhor te fez bem. | Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. |

| 13 | Tomarei o calix da salvação, e invocarei o nome do Senhor. | I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. |
| 14 | Pagarei os meus votos ao Senhor, agora, na presença de todo o seu povo. | I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people. |
| 15 | Preciosa é á vista do Senhor a morte dos seus sanctos. | Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. |
| 16 | Ó Senhor, devéras sou teu servo: sou teu servo, filho da tua serva; soltaste as minhas ataduras. | O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. |
| 17 | Offerecer-te-hei sacrificios de louvor, e invocarei o nome do Senhor. | I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord. |
