| 1 | Louvae ao Senhor. Bemaventurado o homem que teme ao Senhor, que em seus mandamentos tem grande prazer. | Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. |
| 2 | A sua semente será poderosa na terra: a geração dos rectos será abençoada. | His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. |
| 3 | Fazenda e riquezas haverá na sua casa, e a sua justiça permanece para sempre. | Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. |
| 4 | Aos justos nasce luz nas trevas: elle é piedoso, misericordioso e justo. | Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. |
| 5 | O homem bom se compadece, e empresta: disporá as suas coisas com juizo. | A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. |
