|---|---|---|
A Song of the Ascents. Those trusting in Jehovah are as Mount Zion, It is not moved--to the age it abideth. | They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
Jerusalem! mountains are round about her, And Jehovah is round about His people, From henceforth even unto the age. | As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
For the rod of wickedness resteth not On the lot of the righteous, That the righteous put not forth on iniquity their hands. | For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Do good, O Jehovah, to the good, And to the upright in their hearts. | Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
As to those turning to their crooked ways, Jehovah causeth them to go with workers of iniquity. Peace on Israel! | As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
