| 1 | The `title of the hundrid and nyne and twentithe `salm. The song of greces. Lord, Y criede to thee fro depthes; Lord, here thou mi vois. | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say: |
| 2 | Thin eeris be maad ententif; in to the vois of my biseching. | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. |
| 3 | Lord, if thou kepist wickidnessis; Lord, who schal susteyne? | The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. |
| 4 | For merci is at thee; and, Lord, for thi lawe Y abood thee. Mi soule susteynede in his word; my soule hopide in the Lord. | The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. |
| 5 | Fro the morewtid keping til to niyt; | Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. |
| 6 | Israel hope in the Lord. | Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up: |
| 7 | For whi merci is at the Lord; and plenteous redempcioun is at hym. | Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom. |
| 8 | And he schal ayen bie Israel; fro alle the wickidnessis therof. | Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we bless you in the name of the Lord. |
