| 2 | Myn help is of the Lord; that made heuene and erthe. | Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue. |
| 3 | The Lord yyue not thi foot in to mouyng; nether he nappe, that kepith thee. | What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue? |
| 4 | Lo! he schal not nappe, nether slepe; that kepith Israel. | Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper. |
| 5 | The Lord kepith thee; the Lord is thi proteccioun aboue thi riythond. | Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar! |
| 6 | The sunne schal not brenne thee bi dai; nether the moone bi nyyt. | My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. |
