|---|---|---|
Yahweh, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me. | Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
Many there are who say of my soul, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah. | Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. | But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
I cry to Yahweh with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah. | I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
I laid myself down and slept. I awakened; for Yahweh sustains me. | I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.
I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side. | I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
Arise, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked. | Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Salvation belongs to Yahweh. Your blessing be on your people. Selah. | Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
