I will extol you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me. | I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me. | O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. | O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy name. | Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning. | For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.” | And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled. | Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made supplication: | I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.
“What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth? | What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper.” | Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness, | Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever! | To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
