In finem. Canticum psalmi resurrectionis. Jubilate Deo, omnis terra ; | Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.
psalmum dicite nomini ejus ; date gloriam laudi ejus. | O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
Dicite Deo : Quam terribilia sunt opera tua, Domine ! in multitudine virtutis tuæ mentientur tibi inimici tui. | Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
Omnis terra adoret te, et psallat tibi ; psalmum dicat nomini tuo. | Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
Venite, et videte opera Dei : terribilis in consiliis super filios hominum. | By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:
Qui convertit mare in aridam ; in flumine pertransibunt pede : ibi lætabimur in ipso. | Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:
Qui dominatur in virtute sua in æternum ; oculi ejus super gentes respiciunt : qui exasperant non exaltentur in semetipsis. | Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
Benedicite, gentes, Deum nostrum, et auditam facite vocem laudis ejus : | They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
qui posuit animam meam ad vitam, et non dedit in commotionem pedes meos. | Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
Quoniam probasti nos, Deus ; igne nos examinasti, sicut examinatur argentum. | Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.
Induxisti nos in laqueum ; posuisti tribulationes in dorso nostro ; | Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
imposuisti homines super capita nostra. Transivimus per ignem et aquam, et eduxisti nos in refrigerium. | They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
Introibo in domum tuam in holocaustis ; reddam tibi vota mea | The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
quæ distinxerunt labia mea : et locutum est os meum in tribulatione mea. | —
Holocausta medullata offeram tibi, cum incenso arietum ; offeram tibi boves cum hircis. | —
Propterea exaudivit Deus, et attendit voci deprecationis meæ. | —
Benedictus Deus, qui non amovit orationem meam, et misericordiam suam a me. | —
