| 1 | In finem, ne disperdas. David in tituli inscriptionem, cum fugeret a facie Saul in speluncam. | Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. |
| 2 | Miserere mei, Deus, miserere mei, quoniam in te confidit anima mea. Et in umbra alarum tuarum sperabo, donec transeat iniquitas. | Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High. |
| 3 | Clamabo ad Deum altissimum, Deum qui benefecit mihi. | What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. |
| 4 | Misit de cælo, et liberavit me ; dedit in opprobrium conculcantes me. Misit Deus misericordiam suam et veritatem suam, | In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. |
