| 2 | Domine, exaudi vocem meam. Fiant aures tuæ intendentes in vocem deprecationis meæ. | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. |
| 3 | Si iniquitates observaveris, Domine, Domine, quis sustinebit ? | The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. |
| 4 | Quia apud te propitiatio est ; et propter legem tuam sustinui te, Domine. Sustinuit anima mea in verbo ejus : | The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. |
| 5 | speravit anima mea in Domino. | Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. |
| 6 | A custodia matutina usque ad noctem, speret Israël in Domino. | Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up: |
