| 1 | Canticum graduum. Lætatus sum in his quæ dicta sunt mihi : In domum Domini ibimus. | I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. |
| 2 | Stantes erant pedes nostri in atriis tuis, Jerusalem. | My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. |
| 3 | Jerusalem, quæ ædificatur ut civitas, cujus participatio ejus in idipsum. | He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. |
| 4 | Illuc enim ascenderunt tribus, tribus Domini : testimonium Israël, ad confitendum nomini Domini. | Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. |
| 5 | Quia illic sederunt sedes in judicio, sedes super domum David. | The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. |
