— O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

psalmus David quem cantavit Domino pro verbis Chusi filii Iemini
Domine Deus meus in te speravi salvum me fac ex omnibus persequentibus me et libera me
Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
nequando rapiat ut leo animam meam dum non est qui redimat neque qui salvum faciat O Lord my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
Domine Deus meus si feci istud si est iniquitas in manibus meis If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
si reddidi retribuentibus mihi mala decidam merito ab inimicis meis inanis Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
persequatur inimicus animam meam et conprehendat et conculcet in terra vitam meam et gloriam meam in pulverem deducat diapsalma Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
exsurge Domine in ira tua exaltare in finibus inimicorum meorum et exsurge Domine Deus meus in praecepto quod mandasti So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
et synagoga populorum circumdabit te et propter hanc in altum regredere The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
Dominus iudicat populos iudica me Domine secundum iustitiam meam et secundum innocentiam meam super me Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
consummetur nequitia peccatorum et diriges iustum et scrutans corda et renes Deus My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
iustum adiutorium meum a Deo qui salvos facit rectos corde God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Deus iudex iustus et fortis et patiens numquid irascitur per singulos dies If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
nisi conversi fueritis gladium suum vibrabit arcum suum tetendit et paravit illum He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
et in eo paravit vasa mortis sagittas suas ardentibus effecit Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
ecce parturiit iniustitiam ※et: concepit dolorem et peperit iniquitatem He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
lacum aperuit et effodit eum et incidet in foveam quam fecit His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
convertetur dolor eius in caput eius et in verticem ipsius iniquitas eius descendet I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.
confitebor Domino secundum iustitiam eius et psallam nomini Domini altissimi —
