Benedic anima mea DominoDomine Deus meus magnificatus es vehementerconfessionem et decorem induisti | Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
ipsi David amictus lumine sicut vestimento extendens caelum sicut pellem
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: |
qui tegis in aquis superiora eius qui ponis nubem ascensum tuum qui ambulas super pinnas ventorum | Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
qui facis angelos tuos spiritus et ministros tuos ignem urentem | Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
qui fundasti terram super stabilitatem suam non inclinabitur in saeculum saeculi | Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
abyssus sicut vestimentum amictus eius super montes stabunt aquae | The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
ab increpatione tua fugient a voce tonitrui tui formidabunt | He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
ascendunt montes et descendunt campi in locum quem fundasti eis | The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
terminum posuisti quem non transgredientur neque convertentur operire terram | He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
qui emittis fontes in convallibus inter medium montium pertransibunt aquae | He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
potabunt omnes bestiae agri expectabunt onagri in siti sua | For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
super ea volucres caeli habitabunt de medio petrarum dabunt vocem | As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
rigans montes de superioribus suis de fructu operum tuorum satiabitur terra | Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
producens faenum iumentis et herbam servituti hominum ut educas panem de terra | For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
et vinum laetificat cor hominis ut exhilaret faciem in oleo et panis cor hominis confirmat | As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
saturabuntur ligna campi et cedri Libani quas plantavit | For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
illic passeres nidificabunt erodii domus dux est eorum | But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
montes excelsi cervis petra refugium erinaciis | To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
fecit lunam in tempora sol cognovit occasum suum | The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
posuisti tenebras et facta est nox in ipsa pertransibunt omnes bestiae silvae | Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
catuli leonum rugientes ut rapiant et quaerant a Deo escam sibi | Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
ortus est sol et congregati sunt et in cubilibus suis conlocabuntur | Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
omnia a te expectant ut des illis escam in tempore | —
dante te illis colligent aperiente te manum tuam omnia implebuntur bonitate | —
cantabo Domino in vita mea psallam Deo meo quamdiu sum | —
iucundum sit ei eloquium meum ego vero delectabor in Domino | —
deficiant peccatores a terra et iniqui ita ut non sint benedic anima mea Domino | —
