David quando commutavit os suum coram Abimelech et eiecit eum et abiit Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
benedicam Domino in omni tempore semper laus eius in ore meo Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
in Domino laetabitur anima mea audiant mites et laetentur Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
magnificate Dominum mecum et exaltemus nomen eius pariter For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
quaesivi Dominum et exaudivit me et de omnibus angustiis meis liberavit me He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
respicite ad eum et confluite et vultus vestri non confundentur By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
hic pauper clamavit et Dominus exaudivit de omnibus tribulationibus salvabit eum He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
circumdat angelus Domini in gyro timentes eum et eruet eos Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
gustate et videte quoniam bonus Dominus beatus vir qui sperat in eo For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
timete Dominum sancti eius quoniam non est inopia timentibus eum The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
leones indiguerunt et esurierunt quaerentibus autem Dominum non deerit omne bonum The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
venite filii audite me timorem Domini docebo vos Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
quis est vir qui velit vitam diligens dies videre bonos The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
custodi linguam tuam a malo et labia tua ne loquantur dolum From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
recede a malo et fac bonum quaere pacem et persequere eam He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
oculi Domini ad iustos et aures eius ad clamorem eorum There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
vultus Domini super facientes malum ut perdat de terra memoriam eorum An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
clamaverunt et Dominus exaudivit et ex omnibus tribulationibus eorum liberavit eos Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
iuxta est Dominus contritis corde et confractos spiritu salvabit To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
multae tribulationes iusti et ex omnibus illis liberabit eum Dominus Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
custodit omnia ossa eius unum ex eis non confringetur For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
interficiet impium malitia et odientes iustum superabuntur Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
redimet Dominus animam servorum suorum et non peccabunt omnes sperantes in eo —
