| 1 | Sau việc ấy, Ða-vít đánh dân Phi-li-tin, bắt phục chúng nó; và đoạt lấy khỏi tay chúng nó thành Gát và các hương thôn nó. | Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines. |
| 2 | Người cũng đánh Mô-áp; dân Mô-áp bèn phục dịch Ða-vít, và tiến cống cho người. | And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts. |

Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went. |
