A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. |

| 39 | Goe' -ra rapopohura hi pohuraa karabilaa' hi tomi posampayaa. Goe' -ra ane rapopohura-ra hi pohuraa to lompe' hi posusaa'. | And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: |
| 40 | Mpobagiu-ra tobine tobalu, pai' -ra mpohagoi tomi-ra. Rawunii' kadada'a gau' -ra tohe'e hante mosampaya rapomoloe-loe. Motomo lia mpai' huku' -ra." | Which devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation. |
| 41 | Yesus mohura mohu' peti' pompunaa' doi pepue', pai' -i mponaa tauna to mpopuna' doi pepue' -ra hi rala-na. Wori' tauna to mo'ua' mpopuna' doi uma hangke-ngkedi'. | And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. |
