Na'uli' wo'o-mi Yesus mpo'uli' -raka ana'guru-na: "Ria hadua topo'ua', pai' ria-ki hadua topobago-na to ngkakamu doi-na. Ria to mpakilu topobago toei hi topo'ua', ra'uli': `Ntora napewai' mara-hana doi-nu!' And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
Toe pai' topo'ua' toei mpokio' topobago-na, na'uli' -ki: `Napa-di to ku'epe to rapakilu-koko toi-e? Wae lau, popehuwu-ka hawe'ea buku popa'intaa. Ngkai eo toe lau, uma-pi iko to ngkakamu ka'uaa' -ku!' And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
"Mokanono-imi topobago toei, na'uli': `Napa-le' to kubabehi-e? Naleso' -ama mpai' sepu' -ku ngkai bago-ku. Momangki uma kukulei'. Kakarapi' -rapi', me'ea' -a.' Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
Ngkai ree na'uli': `Aa, ria akala-ku! Apa' neo' raleso' -ama ngkai bago-kue, agina mpali' ncala' -a bale-ku wori' -wori', bona hira' mpai' mpotarima-a hi tomi-ra.' I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
"Jadi' ngkai ree, nakio' -mi butu dua tauna to mo'inta hi sepu' -na. Hi to lomo' -na na'uli': `Hangkuja inta-nu hi sepu' -ku?' So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
"Metompoi' tauna toei: `Tolu ncobu lite lana.' "Na'uli' topobago toei: `Oi sura popa'intaa-nu. Mohura-moko, uki' pesahui, hancobu lima atu lite-wadi!' And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
"Oti toe, pai' na'uli' -ki karodua-na: `Hiaa' iko, hangkuja-kowo inta-nu?' "Natompoi' -hawo: `Hancobu karu' pae.' "Na'uli' topobago toei: `Ohe'i sura inta-nu, uki' -mi walu atu karu' -wadi.' Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
"Kana'epe-na topo'ua' napa to nababehi topobago-na to bengku' gau' -na tetui, na'une' lau-imi, apa' pante-i-hana mpali' akala-na bona lompe' katuwu' -na. Apa' tauna to uma mpo'incai Pue' Ala, meliu kapante-ra mpo'urusi katuwu' -ra hante hingka doo-ra, ngkai kapante-ra tauna to hi rala kabajaa-na Pue' Ala mpo'urusi katuwu' -ra hi eo mpeno. And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
"Toe pai' ku'uli' -kokoi: Kana tapake' ka'uaa' hi dunia' tohe'i mpotulungi doo, bona ane uma-pi mpai' mokalaua ka'uaa' dunia' toi, ratarima lompe' -ta hi po'ohaa' to tida duu' kahae-hae-na. And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
Tauna to ma'ala rasarumaka hante rewa to hangkedi', ma'ala wo'o-i rasarumaka hante rewa to wori'. Tauna to uma monoa' kehi-na hante rewa to hangkedi', uma wo'o mpai' monoa' kehi-na hante rewa to wori'. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
Jadi', ane uma lompe' pompewili' -ta hi ka'uaa' dunia' tohe'i, hema to mposarumaka-ta hi poko ka'uaa' to hi suruga? If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
Ane uma lompe' pompewili' -ta hi rewa to rasarumaka-taka hi dunia' toi, hema mpai' to mpowai' -ta rewa to jadi' anu-ta moto hi suruga? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
"Uma-hawo ria hadua topobago mobago hi rodua tua. Apa' hadua mpai' nape'ahi', hadua napokahuku'. Hadua natuku' -ki hawa' -na, hadua nasapuaka. Wae wo'o koi', uma-koi bisa mpotuku' konoa Alata'ala, pai' hamali-koi ntora mporumpu rewa dunia'." No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
To Parisi mpo'epe hawe'ea lolita Yesus toe. Rapotawai lau-i-wadi, apa' hira' toe-mi to mpokahina doi. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Koi' tetu-mi mpemanoa' po'ingku-ni hi poncilo manusia'. Aga Alata'ala mpo'inca ihi' nono-ni. Apa' napa to rabila' manusia', napokahuku' Alata'ala. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
"Napa to te'uki' hi rala Atura Musa pai' sura nabi bate-na rapake' -pidi duu' rata hi tempo Yohanes Topeniu'. Ngkai tempo toe, rapalele-mi Kareba Lompe' to mpo'uli' Alata'ala jadi' Magau' hi dunia'. Pai' wori' tauna mpohuduwukui doko' jadi' ntodea-na hi rala Kamagaua' -na toe. The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Tapi' butu mela to te'uki' hi rala Atura Pue' bate kana madupa'. Mojoli-pi langi' pai' dunia' mokero, ngkai hamela lolita hi rala Atura Pue' uma madupa'. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
"Hema to mpogaa' -ki tobine-na pai' ncamoko hante tobine ntani' -na, mobualo' -i-hana. Pai' tauna to mpotobine kabulisa doo, mobualo' wo'o-i-hawo. Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
"Ria hadua topo'ua'. Pohea-na hewa pohea magau', paka' to masuli' oli-na. Tuwu' -na butu eo-na hewa toposusa' -damo. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
Hi wobo' -na ratu'u hadua tauna to kabu, hanga' -na Lazarus. Woto-na hobo' paka' waka'. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Doko' -i-hawo ngkoni' rupu' to mohewu' ngkai meja' topo'ua' toei. Wae-mi-hawo kampe'ahii' -na, rata wo'o-pi dike' mpojilai' waka' -na. And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
"Rala-na ha'eo, mate-imi tokabu toei, pai' mala'eka mpokeni-i hilou hi pohuraa to lompe' hi ncori Abraham. Topo'ua' toei, mate wo'o-imi-hawo, pai' -i ratana. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Hi po'ohaa' tomate, ntora ntodohaka-i. Hampengoa' -na ngkai ree, nahilo-hawo molaa lia, oe-imi mai Abraham, hante Lazarus mohura hi ncori-na. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Pekio' -nami topo'ua' toei, na'uli': `Mama Abraham! Poka'ahi' -a-kuwo! Hubui-i Lazarus mpotubu' karawe-na hi rala ue pai' tumai natudohi-ka-kuwo jila' -ku. Pepa rahi-mi ku'epe rala apu tohe'i!' And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
"Na'uli' Abraham: `Kiwoi-dile ana': Bula-nu tuwu' -pidi hi rala dunia', iko mporata hawe'ea to lompe', hiaa' Lazarus-hana mporata-i paka' to dada'a. Tempo toi, tetanta'u-imi hi rehe'i, pai' iko-kowo, mporata pepa-moko. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Hiaa' etu, hi olo' -ta ria tumata to bohe lia. Tauna ngkai rehe'i uma bisa tilou hi retu, pai' tauna ngkai retu uma bisa tumai hi rehe'i.' And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
"Ngkai ree, na'uli' wo'o topo'ua' toei: `Ane wae-di Mama, kuperapi' bona nuhubui-i Lazarus hilou hi tomi tuama-ku. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
Apa' ria-ra-pidi lima ompi' -ku. Hubui-i Lazarus mpopo'ingai' -ra bona neo' -ra mpai' tumai hi po'ohaa' pontodohakaa toi.' For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
"Na'uli' Abraham: `Ria-miraka sura to na'uki' Musa pai' nabi-nabi ntani' -na. Mpotuku' napa to te'uki' hi rala sura toe-ra-damo-rawo.' Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
"Na'uli' topo'ua' toei: `Ane muntu' toe-wadi, uma hono'! Kana ria tomate tuwu' nculii' hilou mpololitai-ra, pai' lako' medea-rada ngkai jeko' -ra!' And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
"Na'uli' Abraham: `Ane lolita nabi Musa pai' nabi ntani' -na uma rapangalai', uma oa' -ra mpai' mepangala', nau' gati ria mpu'u tomate tuwu' nculii'.'" And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
