| 2 | Будуть бо люде самолюбцї, сріблолюбці, пишні, горді, хулителї, родителям непокірні, невдячні, безбожні, | For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, |
| 3 | нелюбовні, непримирливі, осудливі, невдержливі, люті, вороги добра, | Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, |
| 4 | зрадники, напастники, гордувники, що більш люблять розкоші, ніж Бога, | Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; |
| 5 | мають образ благочестя, сили ж його відцурались. І ти від таких одвертай ся. | Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. |
| 6 | Бо з таких ті, що влазять у домп і полонять женщин, отягчнених гріхами, що водять ся всякими похотьми, | For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, |
| 7 | що завсїди вчять ся, та й нїколи до зрозуміння правди прийти не можуть. | Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. |
| 8 | Як Яннїй та Ямврій противились Мойсейові, так само й сї противлять ся правдї, люде попсованого розуму, нетямущі в вірі. | Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. |
| 9 | Та не поступлять вони далїй; безумство бо їх явлене буде всім, як і тих було. | But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. |
| 10 | Ти ж послїдував єси моїй науцї, життю, постанові, вірі, довготерпінню, любові, терпінню, | But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, |
| 11 | гонеиню, стражданням, які лучились менї в Антиохиї, в Ікониї, в Листрі; котрі гонення я перенїс, і від усїх ізбавив мене Господь. | Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. |
| 12 | І всї ж, хто хоче благочестиво жити в Христї Ісусї, гонені будуть. | Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. |
| 13 | Лукаві ж люде та чарівники дійдуть до гіршого, зводячи та даючи себе зводити. | But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. |
| 14 | Ти ж пробувай у тому, чого навчено тебе, і що звірено тобі, відаючи, від кого навчивсь вси, | But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; |
| 15 | і що з малку сьвяте писаннє знаєш, котре може тебе вмудрити на спасеннє вірою в Христа Ісуса. | And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. |
| 16 | Всяке писаннє богодухневеннє і корисне до науки, до докору, до направи, до наказу по правдї, | All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: |
| 17 | щоб звершений був Божий чоловік, до всякого доброго дїла готовий. | That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. |
