Na yu putim mani bilong olgeta wan wan man long maus bilong bek bilong em. | And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man’s money in his sack’s mouth. |
Na yu putim kap bilong mi, dispela kap silva, long maus bilong bek bilong man i yangpela moa. Na tu yu putim mani bilong wit samting bilong em. Na em i mekim bilong bihainim dispela tok Josep i autim. | And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack’s mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.
Na taim tulait i kamap, ol i salim ol man i go. Ol i salim ol wantaim ol donki bilong ol i go. | As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses.
Na taim ol i go ausait long biktaun pinis, na ol i no stap longwe yet, orait Josep i tok olsem long man i lukautim haus, Yu kirap na bihainim dispela ol man. Na taim yu kamap long ol, yu mas tokim ol, Bilong wanem yupela i bin bekim pasin nogut long givim pe long gutpela pasin? | And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
Ating dispela i no dispela em samting bikman bilong mi i save dring long en, na tru tumas, we em i save mekim wok glasman long en? Yupela i bin mekim pasin nogut, taim yupela i mekim olsem. | Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
Na em i kamap long ol, na em i autim dispela wankain tok long ol. | And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these same words.
Na ol i tok long em, Bilong wanem bikman bilong mi i autim ol dispela tok? I no ken tru long ol wokboi bilong yu i mekim bilong bihainim dispela samting. | And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? God forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing:

Olsem wanem na mipela i ken stilim silva o gol long haus bilong bikman bilong yu? | Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks’ mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord’s house silver or gold? |
Yu lukim dispela i stap wantaim husat namel long ol wokboi bilong yu, orait em i ken dai pinis. Na tu mipela bai i stap ol slev bilong bikman bilong mi. | With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord’s bondmen.
Na em i tok, Nau tu em i ken kamap bilong bihainim ol tok bilong yupela. Mi lukim dispela i stap wantaim husat, bai em i stap wokboi bilong mi. Na bai yupela i no gat asua. | And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless.
Na kwiktaim olgeta man wan wan i kisim bek bilong em i kam daun long graun. Na olgeta man wan wan i opim bek bilong em. | Then they speedily took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.
Na wokman bilong Josep i luksave, na em i stat long namba wan brata na i pinis long brata i yangpela moa. Na em i lukim kap long bek bilong Benjamin. | And he searched, and began at the eldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.
Na ol i brukim klos bilong ol. Na olgeta wan wan man i putim kago long donki bilong en, na ol i go bek insait long biktaun. | Then they rent their clothes, and laded every man his ass, and returned to the city.
Na Juda wantaim ol brata bilong en, ol i kam long haus bilong Josep. Long wanem, em i stap yet long dispela hap. Na ol i pundaun long graun long pes bilong em. | And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph’s house; for he was yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.
Na Josep i tok long ol, Dispela em wanem kain pasin yupela i bin mekim? Ating yupela i no save long kain man olsem mi i ken mekim wok glasman? | And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as I can certainly divine?
Na Juda i tok, Mipela bai i tok wanem long bikman bilong mi? Bai mipela i autim wanem tok? O olsem wanem mipela i ken soim ples klia pasin bilong mipela yet? God i bin lukim sin nogut bilong ol wokboi bilong yu. Lukim, mipela i ol wokboi bilong bikman bilong mi. Mipela wantaim man ol i lukim dispela kap i stap wantaim em, mipela i ol wokboi. | And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
Na Josep i tok, No ken tru long mi mekim olsem. Tasol dispela man, ol i bin lukim kap i stap long han bilong em, em bai i stap wokboi bilong mi. Na long yupela i olsem, yupela kirap wantaim bel isi na go long papa bilong yupela. | And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
¶ Orait Juda i kam klostu long em. Na em i tok, O bikman bilong mi, mi askim plis long yu long yu larim wokboi bilong yu i autim wanpela tok long ia bilong bikman bilong mi. Na yu no ken larim belhat bilong yu i kamap hatpela long birua long wokboi bilong yu. Long wanem, yes, yu stap olsem Fero. | Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord’s ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant: for thou art even as Pharaoh.
bikman bilong mi i bin askim ol wokboi bilong en, i spik, Yupela i gat papa o brata? | My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?
Na mipela i bin tok long bikman bilong mi, Mipela i gat papa, em lapun man. Na wanpela pikinini i bin i kamap long em taim em i lapun, em i liklik pikinini. Na brata bilong em i dai pinis. Na em wanpela i stap bilong ol pikinini bilong mama bilong en. Na papa bilong en i laikim tru em. | And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.
Na yu bin tok long ol wokboi bilong yu, Yupela bringim em i kam daun long mi, bai mi ken lukluk long em. | And thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.
Na mipela i bin tok long bikman bilong mi, Dispela manki i no inap lusim papa bilong en. Long wanem, sapos em i lusim papa bilong en, papa bilong en bai i dai pinis. | And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
Na yu bin tok long ol wokboi bilong yu, Sapos brata bilong yupela i yangpela moa em i no kam daun wantaim yupela, orait yupela i no ken lukim pes bilong mi moa. | And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more.
Na em i kamap olsem, taim mipela i kam antap long wokboi bilong yu, em papa bilong mipela, mipela i bin autim long em ol tok bilong bikman bilong mi. | And it came to pass when we came up unto thy servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.
Na papa bilong mipela i tok, Yupela go gen na baim liklik hap kaikai long yumi. | And our father said, Go again, and buy us a little food.
Na mipela i tok, Mipela i no inap go daun. Sapos brata bilong mipela i yangpela moa em i stap wantaim mipela, orait bai mipela i go daun. Long wanem, mipela i no ken lukim pes bilong dispela man, sapos brata bilong mipela i yangpela moa em i no stap wantaim mipela. | And we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see the man’s face, except our youngest brother be with us.
Na wokboi bilong yu, em papa bilong mi, em i tok long mipela, Yupela i save long dispela, meri bilong mi i bin karim tupela pikinini man long mi. | And thy servant my father said unto us, Ye know that my wife bare me two sons:
Na wanpela i lusim mi i go. Na mi bin tok, Tru tumas, samting i bin brukim em long planti hap. Na mi no bin lukim em moa. | And the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces; and I saw him not since:
Na sapos yu kisim dispela tu i lusim mi, na sapos samting nogut i kamap long em, orait bai yupela i bringim waitpela gras bilong mi i go long matmat wantaim bel hevi. | And if ye take this also from me, and mischief befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
Olsem na nau taim mi kam long wokboi bilong yu, em papa bilong mi, na dispela manki i no stap wantaim mipela, na mipela i save laip bilong em i pas long laip bilong dispela manki, | Now therefore when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad’s life;
Orait bai em i kamap olsem, taim em i lukim dispela manki i no stap wantaim mipela, orait bai em i dai pinis. Na ol wokboi bilong yu bai i bringim waitpela gras bilong wokboi bilong yu, em papa bilong mipela, em i go daun long matmat wantaim bel hevi. | It shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and thy servants shall bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave.
Long wanem, wokboi bilong yu i kamap promis long papa bilong mi long lukautim gut dispela manki. Na mi bin spik, Sapos mi no bringim em i kam gen long yu, orait bai mi karim asua oltaim oltaim long papa bilong mi. | For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever.
Olsem na nau, mi askim plis long yu long larim wokboi bilong yu i stap slev long bikman bilong mi long sindaun i stap senis bilong dispela manki. Na yu ken larim dispela manki i go antap wantaim ol brata bilong en. | Now therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide instead of the lad a bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brethren.
Long wanem, olsem wanem bai mi go antap long papa bilong mi, na dispela manki i no stap wantaim mi? Nogut mi lukim dispela samting nogut bai i kamap long papa bilong mi. | For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest peradventure I see the evil that shall come on my father.
