Na yu kisim wanpela meri long hap long ol pikinini meri bilong Leban, brata bilong mama bilong yu. | Arise, go to Padan–aram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother’s father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother’s brother. |

| 10 | ¶ Na Jekop i lusim Biar-siba i go ausait, na em i wok long go long Haran. | And Jacob went out from Beer–sheba, and went toward Haran. |

Na em i kisim bilong ol ston bilong dispela ples na putim ol bilong ol pilo bilong em, na slipim bodi bilong em long dispela ples bilong slip. | And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. |

Dispela hap we yu slip long en, long yu bai Mi givim dispela, na long tumbuna pikinini bilong yu. | And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; |
| 14 | Na tumbuna pikinini bilong yu bai stap olsem das bilong graun, na yu bai go op ausait long hap san i go daun, na long hap sankamap, na long not, na long saut. Na insait long yu na insait long tumbuna pikinini bilong yu bai olgeta famili bilong dispela graun kisim blesing. | And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. |

Long wanem, Mi bai i no inap lusim yu, inap long Mi bin mekim dispela samting Mi bin toktok long yu long en. | And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. |
| 16 | ¶ Na Jekop i kirap ausait long slip bilong em, na em i tok, Tru tumas, BIKPELA i stap long dispela ples. Na mi no bin save. | And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. |

Dispela em i no arapela, tasol em i haus bilong God, na dispela em i dua bilong banis bilong heven. | And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. |
| 18 | Na Jekop i kirap long moning tru, na kisim dispela ston em i bin putim bilong ol pilo bilong em, na sanapim dispela bilong wanpela pos, na kapsaitim wel antap long en. | And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. |

| 20 | Na Jekop i wokim strongpela promis long wanpela strongpela promis, i spik, Sapos God bai i stap wantaim mi, na bai lukautim mi long dispela rot, dispela mi go long en, na bai givim mi bret bilong kaikai, na klos bilong pasim, | And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, |
| 21 | Inap long mi bai kam gen long haus bilong papa bilong mi wantaim bel isi, orait bai BIKPELA i stap God bilong mi. | So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God: |
| 22 | Na dispela ston, dispela mi bin sanapim bilong wanpela pos, bai stap haus bilong God. Na bilong olgeta samting dispela Yu bai givim mi, tru tumas, mi bai givim namba ten hap long Yu. | And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. |
