¶ Harim, BIKPELA i mekim dispela graun i no gat man na i bagarap olgeta. Na Em i tanim dispela inap long as bilong em i kamap antap na brukim nabaut ol manmeri i bin stap long em. | Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
Na em bai stap olsem, olsem long ol manmeri, olsem tasol long pris; olsem long wokboi, olsem tasol long bosman bilong em; olsem long wokmeri, olsem tasol long meri i bosim em; olsem long man i baim, olsem tasol long man i salim; olsem long man i givim dinau long narapela, olsem tasol long man i kisim dinau; olsem long man i givim profit mani long bekim dinau, olsem tasol long man i kisim profit mani bilong bekim dinau. | And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
Dispela hap graun bai stap nating olgeta na ol bai kisim olgeta kago. Long wanem BIKPELA i bin mekim dispela toktok. | The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.
Dispela graun i pilim sori na hap i dai, ol manmeri bilong dispela graun i no gat strong na ol i hap i dai. Ol bikhet manmeri i bilong dispela graun i no gat strong. | The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
Ol manmeri bilong dispela graun i mekim dispela graun i kamap doti, long wanem ol i bin kalapim ol lo, na ol i bin senisim wanem samting Mi bin makim, na ol i bin brukim kontrak i stap oltaim oltaim. | The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
Olsem na dispela pasin bilong stap aninit long kot i bin bagarapim dispela graun. Na ol manmeri i stap long em i stap long bagarap. Olsem na paia i kukim ol manmeri bilong dispela graun na liklik lain man i stap yet. | Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
Ol nupela wara bilong diwai wain i krai sori na diwai wain i no gat strong. Na olgeta manmeri i gat bel i laik amamas ol i soim wari. | The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.
Nois bilong amamas bilong ol tamborin i pinis. Na nois bilong ol manmeri i amamas tru em i pinis. Na amamas tru bilong harp em i pinis. | The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
Bai ol i no dringim wain na singim song wantaim. Strongpela spak bai pait long ol husat i dringim dispela. | They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
Dispela biktaun bilong longlong nabaut em i bruk daun. Olgeta wan wan haus i pas, bai i no gat wanpela man i ken kam insait. | The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.
Ol i singaut long kisim wain long ol rot. Olgeta amamas tru i laik pinis na ol amamas bilong dispela hap graun i bin ranawe. | There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
Bagarap i stap yet long dispela biktaun, na dua bilong banis i bin kisim bagarap. | In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
¶ Taim dispela bai kamap olsem namel long ol manmeri i stap long dispela hap graun, em bai stap olsem taim ol i mekim wanpela diwai oliv i seksek na olsem taim ol i kisim liklik las pikinini bilong diwai wain i kamap bihain long ol i kisim bikpela hap bilong pikinini bilong diwai wain. | When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.
Ol bai apim nek bilong ol. Ol bai sing long givim biknem long BIKPELA. Ol bai singaut long bikmaus i kam long solwara. | They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the Lord, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
Olsem na yupela mas givim glori long BIKPELA long ol paia, yes long nem bilong BIKPELA na God bilong Isrel long ol ailan bilong solwara. | Wherefore glorify ye the Lord in the fires, even the name of the Lord God of Israel in the isles of the sea.

Lain bilong giamanim ol arapela, yes lain bilong giamanim ol arapela i bin mekim planti pasin bilong giamanim ol arapela. | From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. |
Pasin bilong pret na bikpela hul i pasim man, na umben i stap long yu, O yu husat i stap long dispela graun. | Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
Na em bai kamap olsem, man i ranawe long nois bilong pret, em bai pundaun long bikpela hul i pasim man. Na man i lusim dispela bikpela hul i pasim man, umben bai kisim em. Long wanem ol windo bilong antap tru i op, na ol as ston bilong dispela graun i seksek. | And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
Dispela graun i bruk daun olgeta. Dispela graun i bagarap olgeta. Dispela graun i seksek planti tumas. | The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

Na em bai pundaun na em i no inap kirap gen. | The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. |
Na long dispela de em bai kamap olsem, BIKPELA bai mekim save long bikpela lain bilong lain bilong antap tru i stap antap tru, na long ol king bilong dispela graun i stap long dispela graun. | And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
Na Em bai bungim ol olsem ol i bungim ol kalabusman long bikpela hul bilong pasim man. Na Em bai pasim ol long kalabus na bihain long planti de Em bai kam lukim ol. | And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
Long dispela taim mun bai kamap retpela, na san bai kisim sem taim BIKPELA bilong bikpela ami bai bosim kingdom long bikpela glori long maunten Saion, na long Jerusalem, na long pes bilong ol lain bilong Em bilong bipo tru. | Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
