Ol bai stap olsem glori bilong ol pikinini bilong Isrel, BIKPELA bilong bikpela ami i tok olsem. | The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 4 | Na long dispela de em bai kamap olsem, ol bai mekim glori bilong Jekop i stap bun nating na bai gris bilong bodi bilong em i go pinis. | And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. |

Na em bai stap olsem em i bungim ol wit samting long ples daun bilong Refaim. | And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim. |

Tupela o tripela oliv bai stap long antap tru bilong ol han bilong diwai i antap. Na fopela o faipela bai stap long arere tru bilong ol han bilong diwai i bin karim planti kaikai. | Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the Lord God of Israel. |
| 7 | Na long dispela de ol man wan wan bai lukluk long dispela Wanpela i bin kamapim em, na tupela ai bilong em bai lukluk long dispela Wanpela i Holi bilong Isrel bilong givim biknem long Em. | At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. |

Na tu bai em i no givim biknem long dispela samting ol pinga bilong em i bin mekim, maski em ol bung bilong diwai o ol piksa god. | And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images. |

Na bagarap bai stap. | In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation. |
| 10 | Long wanem yu bin lusim tingting long God bilong kisim bek bilong yu na yu no bin holim tingting long bikpela ston bilong strong bilong yu. Olsem na bai yu planim ol naispela diwai na bai yu putim liklik han bilong diwai i no gutpela long dispela diwai. | Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: |

Tasol long de bilong bel hevi na long bikpela sori bai yu kamautim na hipim ol dispela kaikai. | In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow. |
| 12 | ¶ Tok lukaut long bikpela lain bilong planti manmeri. Ol i mekim wanpela nois i olsem nois bilong ol bikpela solwara na long nois bilong hariap bilong ol kantri, ol i mekim nois bilong hariap i olsem nois bilong hariap bilong ol strongpela wara! | Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! |
| 13 | Ol kantri bai hariap olsem hariap bilong planti wara. Tasol God bai hatim ol na ol bai ranawe longwe na bai ol i ranim ol olsem ol pipia bilong wit bilong ol maunten i go paslain long win, na olsem wanpela raunpela samting i go paslain long wanpela strongpela raunwin. | The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. |
| 14 | Na harim, long apinun tru trabel i kirap na pastaim long moningtaim i kam em i no stap moa. Dispela em i wanem samting ol husat i kisim ol samting bilong mipela, na wanem samting ol husat i stilim ol samting bilong mipela. | And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us. |
