¶ Tru tumas, tru tumas, Mi tokim yupela, em husat i no go long dua insait long haus sipsip, tasol em i kalapim long wanpela arapela rot, em yet em i wanpela stilman na raskol stilman. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
Tasol em husat i go insait long dua em i wasman bilong sipsip. | But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
Wasman bilong dua i opim dua long em. Na ol sipsip i harim nek bilong em. Na em i kolim ol sipsip bilong em long nem, na stiaim ol i go ausait. | To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
Na taim em i putim sipsip bilong em i go ausait, em i go pas long ol, na ol sipsip i bihainim em. Long wanem, ol i save long nek bilong em. | And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
Na ol i no inap bihainim wanpela ausait man, tasol ol bai ranawe long em. Long wanem, ol i no save long nek bilong ol ausait man. | And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
Dispela tok piksa Jisas i tokim ol. Tasol ol i no kisim save long ol dispela samting em i tokim ol em i wanem samting. | This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
Nau Jisas i tokim ol gen, Tru tumas, tru tumas, mi tokim yupela, Mi stap dua bilong sipsip. | Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Olgeta tru husat i bin kam bipo long mi em ol stilman na ol raskol stilman. Tasol ol sipsip i no bin harim ol. | All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Mi dispela dua. Long mi sapos wanpela man i go insait, God bai kisim bek em, na em bai go insait na ausait, na lukim ples gras. | I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Stilman i no kam long narapela as, bilong stilim tasol, na long kilim, na long bagarapim olgeta. Mi kam inap long ol i ken gat laip, na long ol i ken gat dispela i planti moa yet. | The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Mi stap gutpela wasman bilong sipsip. Gutpela wasman bilong sipsip i givim laip bilong em bilong helpim sipsip. | I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Tasol em husat i wok long pe tasol, na em i no wasman bilong sipsip, husat ol sipsip i no bilong em yet, i lukim wolf i kam, na em i lusim ol sipsip, na ranawe. Na wolf i kisim ol, na brukim ol sipsip i go nabaut. | But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
Man i wok long pe tasol i ranawe, bilong wanem, em i man i wok long pe tasol, na em i no wari long ol sipsip. | The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
Mi gutpela wasman bilong sipsip, na mi save long ol sipsip bilong mi, na ol sipsip bilong mi i save long mi. | I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
Olsem Papa i save long mi, yes, olsem tasol mi save long Papa. Na mi givim laip bilong mi long helpim ol sipsip. | As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Na mi gat sampela arapela sipsip, husat i no bilong dispela haus sipsip. Ol tu mi mas bringim, na ol bai harim nek bilong mi. Na bai i gat wanpela haus sipsip i stap, na wanpela wasman bilong sipsip. | And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Olsem na Papa bilong mi i laikim mi tru, bilong wanem, mi givim laip bilong mi, inap long mi ken kisim dispela gen. | Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
I no gat man i tekewe dispela long mi, tasol mi givim dispela long mi yet. Mi gat pawa bilong givim dispela, na mi gat pawa bilong kisim dispela gen. Dispela tok strong mi bin kisim long Papa bilong mi. | No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
¶ Olsem na i gat wanpela bruk gen namel long ol Ju long ol dispela toktok. | There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
Na planti bilong ol i tok, Em i gat wanpela spirit nogut, na em i longlong. Bilong wanem yupela i harim em? | And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?
Ol arapela i tok, Ol dispela em i no toktok bilong em husat i gat wanpela spirit nogut. Wanpela spirit nogut em inap long opim ol ai bilong aipas man? | Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
¶ Na long Jerusalem em i dispela bikpela kaikai bilong makim, na em i taim bilong bikpela kol. | And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
Na Jisas i wokabaut insait long tempel long veranda bilong Solomon. | And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch.
Nau ol Ju i kam raun nabaut long em, na tokim em, Inap long wanem taim yu bai mekim mipela stap long tupela tingting? Sapos yu stap dispela Kraist, tokim mipela klia. | Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
Jisas i bekim tok long ol, Mi tokim yupela pinis, na yupela i no bilip. Ol dispela wok mi wokim long nem bilong Papa bilong mi, ol i stap witnes bilong mi. | Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
Tasol yupela i no bilip, bilong wanem, yupela i no bilong ol sipsip bilong mi, olsem mi tokim yupela. | But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
Ol sipsip bilong mi i harim nek bilong mi, na mi save long ol, na ol i bihainim mi. | My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Na mi givim ol laip i stap gut oltaim oltaim. Na ol bai i no inap lus, na tu i no gat wanpela man bai kamautim ol ausait long han bilong mi. | And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Papa bilong mi, husat i givim ol long mi, i winim olgeta. Na i no gat man husat i inap long kamautim ol ausait long han bilong Papa bilong mi. | My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
Mi na Papa bilong mi i wanpela. | I and my Father are one.
Nau ol Ju i kisim ol ston gen long tromoi ston long kilim em. | Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Jisas i bekim tok long ol, Planti gutpela wok mi bin soim yupela i kam long Papa bilong mi. Bilong wanem bilong ol dispela wok yupela i tromoi ston long kilim mi? | Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
Ol Ju i bekim em, i spik, Bilong wanpela gutpela wok mipela i no tromoi ston long kilim yu, tasol bilong tok bilas, na bikos yu, taim yu stap man, yu mekim yu yet God. | The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
Jisas i bekim tok long ol, Ating i yes long rait i stap pinis long lo bilong yupela, Mi tok, Yupela i stap ol god? | Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Sapos em i kolim ol ol god, long husat tok bilong God i bin kam, na rait bilong God i no inap bruk, | If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Ating yupela i tok long sait bilong em, husat Papa i bin mekim i kamap holi, na salim em long dispela graun, Yu tok bilas, bikos mi tok, Mi Pikinini Man bilong God? | Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Sapos mi no wokim ol wok bilong Papa bilong mi, no ken bilipim mi. | If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
Tasol sapos mi mekim olsem, maski yupela i no bilipim mi, bilipim ol wok, inap long yupela i ken save, na bilip, long Papa i stap insait long mi, na mi insait long em. | But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
¶ Olsem na ol i painim rot gen long kisim em. Tasol em i ranawe i go ausait long han bilong ol, | Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
Na em i go gen hapsait long Jordan i go long ples we Jon i givim baptais pastaim. Na long dispela hap em i stap. | And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
Na planti i kam long em, na tok, Jon i no wokim mirakel. Tasol olgeta dispela samting Jon i toktok long sait bilong dispela man em i tru. | And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
Na planti i bilip long em long dispela hap. | And many believed on him there.
