| 1 | ¶ Long dispela taim, BIKPELA i tok, ol bai bringim i kam ausait ol bun bilong ol king bilong Juda, na ol bun bilong ol hetman bilong em, na ol bun bilong ol pris, na ol bun bilong ol profet, na ol bun bilong ol man i stap long Jerusalem, i kam ausait long ol matmat bilong ol. | At that time, saith the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves: |
| 2 | Na ol bai opim ol long ai bilong san, na long mun, na long olgeta ami bilong heven, husat ol i bin laikim tru, na husat ol i bin bihainim, na bihain long husat ol i bin wokabaut, na husat ol i bin painim, na husat ol i bin lotuim. Ol man bai i no inap bungim ol, o planim ol. Ol bai stap olsem pekpek antap long pes bilong dispela graun. | And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. |

Ating em bai tanim na lusim, na i yes long em bai kam bek gen? | Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return? |
| 5 | Bilong wanem nau dispela lain bilong Jerusalem i go bek wantaim wanpela pasin bilong go bek oltaim? Ol i holim strong pasin giaman, ol i tok nogat long kam bek. | Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return. |

Olgeta wan wan i tanim i go long rot bilong em yet, olsem hos i ran hariap i go long pait. | I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle. |

Tasol ol manmeri bilong Mi i no save long kot bilong BIKPELA. | Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the Lord. |

Ingpen bilong ol man bilong rait i stap nating. | How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain. |
| 9 | Ol saveman i sem, ol i wari planti na ol lain i holimpas ol. Harim, ol i bin tok nogat olgeta long tok bilong BIKPELA, na wanem kain save tru i stap insait long ol? | The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them? |
| 10 | Olsem na bai Mi i givim ol meri bilong ol i go long ol arapela, na ol bikpela gaden bilong ol long ol lain husat bai kisim ol olsem samting papa i givim pikinini. Long wanem, olgeta wan wan bilong ol, yes, i stat long las i go inap long ol nambawan i givim ol yet long pasin mangal, i stat long profet, yes, i go inap long pris, olgeta wan wan i mekim samting wantaim giaman. | Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. |

Long taim bilong Mi long kam lukim ol, Mi bai tromoi ol i go daun, BIKPELA i tok. | Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the Lord. |
| 13 | ¶ Tru tumas, Mi bai kaikai ol olgeta, BIKPELA i tok. Bai i no gat ol pikinini wain long diwai wain, o ol fik long diwai fik, na lip bai dai isi isi. Na ol samting Mi bin givim ol bai pinis olgeta i lusim ol. | I will surely consume them, saith the Lord: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them. |

Long wanem, BIKPELA, God bilong yumi, i bin pasim maus bilong yumi, na givim yumi wara bilong marasin i pait bilong dringim, bilong wanem, yumi bin mekim sin i birua long BIKPELA. | Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the Lord our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the Lord. |

Long wanem, ol i kam, na ol i bin kaikai dispela hap olgeta, na olgeta samting i stap long en, dispela biktaun na ol husat i stap insait long en. | The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein. |
| 17 | Long wanem, lukim, Mi bai salim ol snek, ol kokatrais, namel long yupela, husat yupela bai i no inap pasim wantaim pasin poisin, na ol bai kaikaim yupela, BIKPELA i tok. | For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the Lord. |

Bilong wanem ol i bin skrapim bel bilong Mi long belhat wantaim ol piksa god ol i sapim, na wantaim ol narakain samting nating? | Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the Lord in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities? |

Bilong wanem nau pikinini meri bilong lain manmeri bilong Mi i no kamap orait gen long sik? | Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered? |
