| 1 | ¶ Long namba nain yia bilong Sedekaia king bilong Juda, long namba ten mun, Nebukadresar, king bilong Babilon, na olgeta ami bilong em i kam birua long Jerusalem, na ol i pasim biktaun. | In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and they besieged it. |
| 2 | Na long namba 11 yia bilong Sedekaia, long namba foa mun, long namba nain de bilong mun, biktaun i bruk. | And in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, the city was broken up. |
| 3 | Na olgeta hetman bilong king bilong Babilon i kam insait, na sindaun long namel stret dua bilong banis, yes, Nergal-sareser, Samgar-nibo, Sarsekim, Rap-saris, Nergal-sareser, Rap-mak, wantaim olgeta lain i stap yet bilong ol hetman bilong king bilong Babilon. | And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate, even Nergal–sharezer, Samgar–nebo, Sarsechim, Rab–saris, Nergal–sharezer, Rab–mag, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon. |

Na em i go ausait long rot bilong ples stret. | And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king’s garden, by the gate betwixt the two walls: and he went out the way of the plain. |

Na taim ol i bin kisim em, ol i bringim em antap long Nebukadresar, king bilong Babilon, long Ripla long hap bilong Hemat, we em i wokim kot antap long em. | But the Chaldeans’ army pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him. |

| 8 | Na ol lain Kaldia i kukim haus bilong king, na ol haus bilong ol manmeri, wantaim paia, na brukim i go daun ol banis bilong Jerusalem. | And the Chaldeans burned the king’s house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem. |
| 9 | Nau Nebusaredan, kepten bilong ol wasman, i karim i go kalabus long Babilon olgeta hap lain i stap yet bilong ol manmeri husat i stap yet long dispela biktaun, na ol husat i lusim ol i go, husat i go long em, wantaim olgeta arapela manmeri husat i stap yet. | Then Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to him, with the rest of the people that remained. |

| 11 | ¶ Nau Nebukadresar, king bilong Babilon, i givim tok long sait bilong Jeremaia long Nebusaredan, kepten bilong ol wasman, i spik, | Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard, saying, |
| 12 | Kisim em, na lukautim em gut, na no ken bagarapim em liklik. Tasol mekim long em, yes, olsem em bai tokim yu. | Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto thee. |
| 13 | Olsem na Nebusaredan, kepten bilong ol wasman, i salim tok, na Nebusasban, Rap-saris, na Nergal-sareser, Rap-mak, na olgeta hetman bilong king bilong Babilon, | So Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushasban, Rab–saris, and Nergal–sharezer, Rab–mag, and all the king of Babylon’s princes; |
| 14 | Yes, ol i salim tok, na kisim Jeremaia ausait long ples op bilong kalabus, na putim em long han bilong Gedalaia, pikinini man bilong Ahikam, pikinini man bilong Safan, inap long em i ken karim em i go long ples. Olsem na em i stap namel long ol manmeri. | Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people. |

Na ol tok bilong Mi bai kamap pinis long dispela de long ai bilong yu. | Go and speak to Ebed–melech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee. |
