| 5 | Yupela wokim ol haus, na stap long ol. Na planim ol gaden, na kaikai ol kaikai bilong ol. | Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; |

Na kisim ol meri bilong ol pikinini man bilong yupela, na givim ol pikinini meri bilong yupela long ol man long maritim, inap long ol i ken karim ol pikinini man na ol pikinini meri, inap long yupela ken kamap planti moa long dispela hap, na namba bilong yupela i no ken go daun. | Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished. |

| 8 | ¶ Long wanem, BIKPELA bilong ol ami, God bilong Isrel, i tok olsem, No ken larim ol profet bilong yupela na ol glasman bilong yupela, husat i stap namel long yupela, giamanim yupela, na tu yupela i no ken harim ol driman bilong yupela, dispela ol driman yupela i mekim long kamap. | For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. |

| 13 | Na yupela bai painim Mi, na painim Mi pinis, taim yupela bai painim Mi tru wantaim olgeta bel bilong yupela. | And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. |

Na Mi bai bringim yupela gen long ples we Mi mekim ol kisim na karim yupela i go kalabus. | And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. |

| 16 | Orait save long BIKPELA i tok olsem bilong dispela king husat i sindaun antap long sia king bilong Devit, na bilong olgeta manmeri husat i stap long dispela biktaun, na bilong ol brata bilong yupela husat i no go wantaim yupela long kalabus, | Know that thus saith the Lord of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity; |
| 17 | BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Lukim, Mi bai salim antap long ol dispela bainat, bikpela taim hangre, na sik nogut, na Mi bai mekim ol wankain olsem ol fik nogut tru, inap long ol man i no inap kaikai ol, ol i nogut olsem. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. |

Na em bai kilim ol i dai long ai bilong ol ai bilong yupela. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes; |

Yes, Mi save, na Mi stap wanpela witnes, BIKPELA i tok. | Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours’ wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the Lord. |

| 26 | BIKPELA i bin mekim yu pris long kisim ples bilong pris Jehoiada, inap long yupela ken stap ol ofisa insait long haus bilong BIKPELA, long wanem, olgeta wan wan man husat i longlong, na makim em yet wanpela profet, long yu mas putim em long kalabus, na long ol diwai i kalabusim hanlek. | The Lord hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the Lord, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks. |

Na planim ol gaden, na kaikai ol kaikai bilong ol. | For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them. |
| 29 | Na pris Sefanaia i ritim dispela pas long ol ia bilong profet Jeremaia. | And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet. |

Bilong wanem, em i bin skulim ol long bikhet i birua long BIKPELA. | Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the Lord; because he hath taught rebellion against the Lord. |
