¶ Na Neman, kepten bilong ami bilong king bilong Siria, em i wanpela bikman long ai bilong bikman bilong em, na man i gat ona, bilong wanem, long han bilong em BIKPELA i bin kisim bek Siria. Em i wanpela strongpela man tru bilong pait, tasol em wanpela lepraman. Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
Na ol lain Siria i bin go ausait long ol lain ami, na ol i bin bringim i go kalabus ausait long hap bilong Isrel wanpela liklik yangpela meri. Na em i mekim wok long meri bilong Neman. And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife.
Na meri i tokim misis bilong em, gutpela moa em i laik bilong God long bikman bilong mi i ken stap wantaim dispela profet i stap long Samaria! Long wanem, em bai oraitim em long sik lepra bilong em. And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
Na wanpela i go insait, na tokim bikman bilong em, i spik, Olsem na olsem dispela yangpela meri i bilong hap bilong Isrel i tok. And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
Na king bilong Siria i tok, Goan, go, na mi bai salim wanpela pas long king bilong Isrel. Na em i go, na kisim wantaim em tenpela talen silva, na 6,000 liklik hap gol, na tenpela senis bilong klos. And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
Na em i bringim pas long king bilong Isrel, i spik, Nau taim dispela pas i kam long yu, lukim, mi bin salim wantaim pas Neman, wokboi bilong mi, long yu, inap long yu ken oraitim em long sik lepra bilong em. And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
Na em i kamap olsem, taim king bilong Isrel i bin ritim dispela pas, long em i brukim klos bilong em, na tok, Ating mi God, long kilim man na long mekim man i stap laip gen, inap long dispela man i salim long mi long oraitim wanpela man long sik lepra bilong em? Olsem na tingim na skelim, mi askim yupela plis, na luksave long em i painim wanpela kros wantaim mi olsem wanem. And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
Na em i stap olsem, taim Ilaisa, dispela man bilong God, i bin harim long king bilong Isrel i bin brukim klos bilong em, long em i salim tok long king, i spik, Olsem wanem na yu bin brukim klos bilong yu? Larim em i kam nau long mi, na em bai save long i gat wanpela profet i stap long Isrel. And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
¶ Olsem na Neman i kam wantaim ol hos bilong em na wantaim karis bilong em, na sanap long dua bilong haus bilong Ilaisa. So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
Na Ilaisa i salim wanpela mausman long em, i spik, Go na waswas long wara Jordan sevenpela taim, na skin bilong yu bai kam bek gen long yu, na yu bai stap klin. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
Tasol Neman i belhat tru, na lusim hap i go, na tok, Lukim, mi tingting, Tru tumas, em bai kam ausait long mi, na sanap, na singaut long nem bilong BIKPELA, God bilong em, na paitim han bilong em antap long dispela ples, na oraitim lepraman. But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
Ating i yes long Abana na Fapar, ol riva bilong Damaskas, i winim olgeta wara bilong Isrel? Ating i yes long mi ken go waswas long ol, na stap klin? Olsem na em i tanim na lusim hap i go wantaim belhat nogut tru. Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
Na ol wokboi bilong em i kam klostu, na toktok long em, na tok, Papa bilong mi, sapos dispela profet i bin tokim yu long wokim wanpela bikpela samting, ating i yes long yu bin mekim dispela? Hamas moa nau, taim em tokim yu, Waswas, na stap klin? And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
Nau em i go daun, na putim em yet liklik aninit long wara Jordan sevenpela taim, bilong bihainim toktok bilong dispela man bilong God. Na skin bilong em i kam bek gen olsem skin bilong wanpela liklik pikinini, na em klin. Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
¶ Na em i go bek long dispela man bilong God, em na olgeta lain bung bilong em, na kam, na sanap long ai bilong em. Na em i tok, Lukim, nau mi save long i no gat wanpela God long olgeta hap graun, long Isrel tasol. Olsem na nau, mi askim yu plis, kisim wanpela blesing long wokboi bilong yu. And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
Tasol em i tok, Olsem BIKPELA i stap laip, long ai bilong husat mi sanap, mi bai i no inap kisim wanpela. Na em i pulim em long kisim dispela, tasol em i tok nogat. But he said, As the Lord liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.
Na Neman i tok, Ating i yes nau, mi askim yu plis, long yu bai givim long wokboi bilong yu graun long mak bilong tupela miul i ken karim? Long wanem, i stat long nau i go wokboi bilong yu bai i no inap ofaim ofa i kuk olgeta o sakrifais tu i go long ol arapela god, i go long BIKPELA tasol. And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules’ burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the Lord.
Long dispela samting BIKPELA i ken lusim pe bilong sin long wokboi bilong yu, long taim bikman bilong mi i go insait long haus bilong Rimon bilong lotu long dispela hap, na em i lindaun antap long han bilong mi, na mi lindaunim mi yet insait long haus bilong Rimon. Taim mi lindaunim mi yet long haus bilong Rimon, BIKPELA i ken lusim pe bilong sin long wokboi bilong yu long dispela samting. In this thing the Lord pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the Lord pardon thy servant in this thing.
Na em i tokim em, Go wantaim bel isi. Olsem na em i lusim em i go liklik. And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
¶ Tasol Gehesai, wokboi bilong Ilaisa, dispela man bilong God, i tok, Lukim, bikman bilong mi i bin isi tumas long Neman, dispela man Siria, taim em i no kisim long han bilong Neman dispela samting em i bringim. Tasol, olsem BIKPELA i stap laip, mi bai ran bihain long em, na kisim samting long em. But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the Lord liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
Olsem na Gehesai i bihainim Neman. Na taim Neman i lukim em i ran i kam bihain long em, em i kalap i go daun long karis bilong em long bungim em, na tok, Olgeta samting i orait? So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
Na em i tok, Olgeta samting i orait. Bikman bilong mi i bin salim mi, i spik, Lukim, yes, nau i gat i kam long mi, long maunten Ifraim, tupela yangpela man bilong ol pikinini man bilong ol profet. Givim ol, mi askim yu plis, wanpela talen silva, na tupela senis bilong klos. And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.
Na Neman i tok, Tok em inap, na kisim tupela talen. Na em i pulim em, na em i pasim tupela talen silva long tupela bek, wantaim tupela senis bilong klos, na slipim ol antap long tupela wokboi bilong em. Na ol i karim ol i go pas long em. And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.
Na taim em i kam long taua, em i kisim ol long han bilong tupela, na putim ol insait long haus. Na em i larim dispela tupela man i go, na ol i go. And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.
Tasol em i go insait, na sanap long ai bilong bikman bilong em. Na Ilaisa i tokim em, Yu kam long we, Gehesai? Na em i tok, Wokboi bilong yu i no go long wanpela hap. But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.
Na em i tokim em, Ating i yes long bel bilong mi i bin go wantaim yu, taim dispela man i tanim gen long karis bilong em long bungim yu? Em i wanpela taim bilong kisim mani, na bilong kisim ol klos, na ol gaden oliv, na ol gaden wain, na ol sipsip, na ol bulmakau man, na ol wokboi, na ol wokmeri? And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?
Olsem na sik lepra bilong Neman bai pas strong long yu, na long tumbuna pikinini bilong yu oltaim oltaim. Na em i go ausait long pes bilong em wanpela lepraman, wait olsem ais. The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
