And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
Na tok bilong BIKPELA i kam long em, i spik, And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying,
Yu go long hap, na yu tanim i go long hap is, na haitim yu yet klostu long liklik wara Kerit, dispela i stap klostu long Jordan. Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

Olsem na em i go na mekim bilong bihainim tok bilong BIKPELA. Long wanem, em i go na stap klostu long liklik wara Kerit, dispela i stap klostu long Jordan. So he went and did according unto the word of the Lord: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
Na ol kotkot i bringim bret na abus long em long moning, na bret na abus long apinun tru. Na em i dring long dispela liklik wara. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
Na em i kamap olsem bihain long liklik taim, long dispela liklik wara i go drai, bilong wanem, i no bin gat ren long dispela hap. And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

Kirap, yu go long Sarefat, dispela i bilong Saidon, na stap long dispela hap. Lukim, Mi bin tok strong long wanpela meri man bilong em i dai pinis, long dispela hap, long lukautim yu. Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
Olsem na em i kirap na go long Sarefat. Na taim em i kam long dua bilong banis bilong dispela biktaun, lukim, meri man bilong em i dai pinis i stap long dispela hap na bungim ol stik. Na em i singaut long em, na tok, Kisim long mi, mi askim yu plis, wanpela liklik hap wara long wanpela sospen samting, inap long mi ken dring. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
Na taim em i go bilong kisim dispela, em i singaut long em, na tok, Bringim mi, mi askim yu plis, wanpela liklik hap bret long han bilong yu. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
Na Ilaija i tokim em, No ken pret. Go na mekim olsem yu bin toktok. Tasol wokim bilong mi long en wanpela liklik kek pastaim, na bringim dispela i kam long mi, na bihain wokim bilong yu na bilong pikinini man bilong yu. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
Long wanem, God BIKPELA bilong Isrel i tok olsem, Kas plaua bai i no inap pinis, na tu jak wel bai i no inap fel, inap long dispela de BIKPELA i salim ren antap long dispela graun. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.
Na meri i go na mekim bilong bihainim toktok bilong Ilaija. Na meri, na em, na hauslain bilong meri, i bin kaikai planti de. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
Na dispela kas plaua i no pinis, na tu jak wel i no bin pinis, bilong bihainim tok bilong BIKPELA, dispela Em i toktok long maus bilong Ilaija. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.

Na em i tokim em, Givim pikinini man bilong yu long mi. Na em i kisim em i kam lusim hap bilong bros bilong meri, na karim em i go antap long wanpela hap antap insait long haus, we em i stap, na slipim em long bet bilong em yet. And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.

And he cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?
Na em i stretim em yet antap long dispela pikinini tripela taim, na singaut long BIKPELA, na tok, O BIKPELA, God bilong mi, mi askim yu plis, larim tewel bilong pikinini i kam insait long em gen. And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, I pray thee, let this child’s soul come into him again.
Na BIKPELA i harim nek bilong Ilaija. Na tewel bilong pikinini i kam insait long em gen, na em i kirap gen. And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

Na Ilaija i tok, Lukim, pikinini man bilong yu i stap laip. And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.
Na meri i tokim Ilaija, Nau long dispela mi save tru long yu stap wanpela man bilong God, na long tok bilong BIKPELA insait long maus bilong yu em i tru. And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth.
