1	¶ Nau long namba 18 yia bilong king Jeroboam, pikinini man bilong Nibat, Abaisam i bosim kingdom bilong Juda.	Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father.

Nevertheless for David’s sake did the Lord his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
8	Na Abaisam i slip wantaim ol tumbuna papa bilong em. Na ol i planim em long biktaun bilong Devit. Na Esa, pikinini man bilong em, i kisim ples bilong em na bosim kingdom.	And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
9	¶ Na long namba 20 yia bilong Jeroboam, king bilong Isrel, Esa i bosim kingdom bilong Juda.	And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.
10	Na 41 yia em i bosim kingdom long Jerusalem. Na nem bilong mama bilong en em Meaka, pikinini meri bilong Abisalom.	And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.
11	Na Esa i mekim dispela samting i stretpela long ol ai bilong BIKPELA, olsem Devit, tumbuna papa bilong em i mekim.	And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, as did David his father.
12	Na em i tekewe ol lain bilong pasin Sodom ausait long dispela hap, na rausim olgeta dispela piksa bilong giaman god ol tumbuna papa bilong em i bin wokim.	And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

Na Esa i bagarapim piksa bilong giaman god bilong em olgeta, na kukim dispela olgeta klostu long liklik wara Kidron.	And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
14	Tasol ol ples antap em i no rausim. Tasol bel bilong Esa i stap inap tru wantaim BIKPELA olgeta de bilong em.	But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa’s heart was perfect with the Lord all his days.

And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the Lord, silver, and gold, and vessels.
16	Na i gat bikpela pait namel long Esa na Beasa, king bilong Isrel, olgeta de bilong ol.	And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
17	Na Beasa, king bilong Isrel, i go antap na birua long Juda, na wokim Rama, inap long em i no ken larim wanpela go ausait o kam insait long Esa, king bilong Juda.	And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
18	Nau Esa i kisim olgeta silva na gol i stap yet long ol samting i dia tru bilong haus bilong BIKPELA, na ol samting i dia tru bilong haus bilong king, na givim ol i go long han bilong ol wokboi bilong em. Na king Esa i salim ol long Ben-hedat, pikinini man bilong Tabrimon, pikinini man bilong Hesion, king bilong Siria, husat i stap long Damaskas, i spik,	Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Ben–hadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

Na ol i tekewe ol ston bilong Rama, na ol diwai bilong en, we Beasa i bin wokim Rama long ol. Na king Esa i wokim Geba bilong Benjamin wantaim ol, na Mispa.	Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
24	Na Esa i slip wantaim ol tumbuna papa bilong em, na ol i planim em wantaim ol tumbuna papa bilong em long biktaun bilong Devit, tumbuna papa bilong em. Na Jehosafat, pikinini man bilong em, i kisim ples bilong em na bosim kingdom.	And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.
25	¶ Na Nedap, pikinini man bilong Jeroboam, i stat long bosim kingdom long Isrel long namba tu yia bilong Esa, king bilong Juda, na bosim kingdom bilong Isrel tupela yia.	And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.
26	Na em i mekim pasin nogut long ai bilong BIKPELA, na wokabaut long rot bilong papa bilong em, na long sin bilong em we em i mekim Isrel long sin long en.	And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
27	Na Beasa, pikinini man bilong Ahaisa, bilong hauslain bilong Isakar, i pasim tok hait i birua long em. Na Beasa i paitim Nedap long Gibeton, dispela i bilong ol Filistin. Long wanem, Nedap na olgeta Isrel i wokim wok long pasim Gibeton.	And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.
28	Yes, long namba tri yia bilong Esa, king bilong Juda, Beasa i bin kilim em i dai, na kisim ples bilong em na bosim kingdom.	Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.
29	Na em i kamap olsem, taim em i bosim kingdom, long em i paitim olgeta hauslain bilong Jeroboam. Em i no larim long Jeroboam wanpela husat i pulim win, inap long em i bin bagarapim em olgeta, bilong bihainim toktok bilong BIKPELA, dispela Em i toktok long maus bilong wokboi bilong em, man Sailo Ahaisa.	And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the Lord, which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:
30	Bilong wanem, bilong ol dispela sin bilong Jeroboam em i mekim, na dispela em i mekim Isrel long sin, long wok bilong em bilong skrapim bel we em i skrapim bel bilong BIKPELA, God bilong Isrel, long belhat long en.	Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the Lord God of Israel to anger.
31	Na olgeta arapela wok bilong Nedap, na olgeta samting em i mekim, ating i yes long ol i raitim ol long buk bilong ol stori bilong king bilong Isrel?	Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
32	Na i gat bikpela pait namel long Esa na Beasa, king bilong Isrel, olgeta de bilong ol.	And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
33	Na long namba tri yia bilong Esa, king bilong Juda, Beasa, pikinini man bilong Ahaisa, i stat long bosim kingdom long olgeta Isrel long Tirsa, 24 yia.	In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.
34	Na em i mekim pasin nogut long ai bilong BIKPELA, na wokabaut long rot bilong Jeroboam, na long sin bilong em, we em i mekim Isrel long sin long en.	And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
