| 2 | Nau Solomon i toktok i go long olgeta Isrel, long ol kepten bilong ol tausen na bilong ol handret, na long ol jas, na long olgeta wan wan nambawan gavman long olgeta Isrel, ol nambawan bilong ol tumbuna papa. | Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers. |

Long wanem, Yu bin mekim mi king long bosim wanpela lain manmeri i planti tru olsem das bilong dispela graun. | Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. |

Long wanem, husat i ken jasim dispela lain manmeri bilong Yu, dispela i stap bikpela olsem? | Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? |
| 11 | Na God i tokim Solomon, Bikos dispela i stap long bel bilong yu, na Yu no bin askim long planti mani samting, bikpela mani samting, o ona, o laip bilong ol birua bilong yu, na tu yet yu no bin askim long longpela laip, tasol yu bin askim long save tru na save bilong helpim yu yet, inap long yu ken jasim ol manmeri bilong mi, antap long husat Mi bin mekim yu king, | And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: |

| 13 | ¶ Nau Solomon i kam lusim wokabaut bilong em long ples antap, dispela i stap long Gibion, i go long Jerusalem, i lusim ai bilong haus sel holi bilong bung bilong ol manmeri, na bosim kingdom antap long Isrel. | Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel. |

Na em i gat 1,400 karis, na 12,000 man i ran long hos, husat em i putim long ol biktaun bilong karis, na wantaim king long Jerusalem. | And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem. |
| 15 | Na king i mekim silva na gol long Jerusalem i kamap planti olsem ol ston, na ol diwai sida em i mekim olsem ol diwai sikamor i planti moa yet, dispela i stap long ples daun. | And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance. |

Ol bisnisman bilong king i kisim naispela rop bilong bilum long wanpela pe. | And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king’s merchants received the linen yarn at a price. |

Na olsem tasol ol i bringim i kam ausait ol hos bilong olgeta king bilong lain Hit, na bilong olgeta king bilong Siria, long ol mani samting bilong ol. | And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means. |
