| 6 | Yet Jeroboam, pikinini man bilong Nibat, wokboi bilong Solomon, pikinini man bilong Devit, i kirap, na em i bin bikhet i birua long bikman bilong em. | Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, is risen up, and hath rebelled against his lord. |
| 7 | Na i gat i bung long em ol hambak man nating, ol pikinini bilong Belial, na ol i bin strongim ol yet i birua long Reaboam, pikinini man bilong Solomon, taim Reaboam em i yangpela na bel bilong em i no strong, na em i no inap long sanap strong na birua long ol. | And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them. |

Tasol yupela bin givim baksait long Em. | And they burn unto the Lord every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the Lord our God; but ye have forsaken him. |

O children of Israel, fight ye not against the Lord God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper. |

Na taim ol man bilong Juda i singaut, em i kamap olsem, long God i paitim Jeroboam na olgeta Isrel long ai bilong Abaisa na Juda. | Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. |

| 19 | Na Abaisa i ran bihainim Jeroboam, na kisim ol biktaun long em, Betel wantaim ol taun bilong en, na Jesana wantaim ol taun bilong en, na Efrain wantaim ol taun bilong en. | And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Beth–el with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephrain with the towns thereof. |
