¶ Na tu i gat wanpela hap satu bilong lain bilong Manasa. Long wanem, em i stap namba wan pikinini bilong Josep, em i olsem, bilong Makir, namba wan pikinini bilong Manasa, papa bilong Gileat. Bilong wanem, em i wanpela man bilong bikpela pait, olsem na em i gat Gileat na Basan. | There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of Joseph; to wit, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.
Na i gat tu wanpela hap satu bilong olgeta arapela pikinini bilong Manasa long ol famili bilong ol, bilong ol pikinini bilong Abieser, na bilong ol pikinini bilong Helek, na bilong ol pikinini bilong Asriel, na bilong ol pikinini bilong Sekem, na bilong ol pikinini bilong Hefer, na bilong ol pikinini bilong Semida, dispela em i ol man pikinini bilong Manasa, pikinini man bilong Josep, long ol famili bilong ol. | There was also a lot for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the children of Abiezer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families.
Tasol Selofehat, pikinini man bilong Hefer, pikinini man bilong Gileat, pikinini man bilong Makir, pikinini man bilong Manasa, i no gat ol pikinini man, ol pikinini meri tasol. Na ol dispela em i ol nem bilong ol pikinini meri bilong em, Mala, na Noa, Hokla, Milka, na Tirsa. | But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
Na ol i kam klostu, long ai bilong pris Eleasar, na long ai bilong Josua, pikinini man bilong Nun, na long ai bilong ol hetman, i spik, BIKPELA i tok strong long Moses long givim long mipela wanpela samting papa i givim pikinini namel long ol brata bilong mipela. Olsem na bilong bihainim tok strong bilong BIKPELA, em i givim ol wanpela samting papa i givim pikinini namel long ol brata bilong papa bilong ol. | And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the Lord he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.
Na i gat tenpela hap skel i pundaun long Manasa, i no kaunim dispela hap bilong Gileat na Basan, dispela i stap long hapsait long Jordan. | And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, beside the land of Gilead and Bashan, which were on the other side Jordan;
Bilong wanem, ol pikinini meri bilong Manasa i gat wanpela samting papa i givim pikinini namel long ol pikinini man bilong em. Na olgeta arapela pikinini man bilong Manasa i gat dispela hap bilong Gileat | Because the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons: and the rest of Manasseh’s sons had the land of Gilead.
¶ Na hap arere bilong Manasa i stat long Aser i go long Mikmeta, dispela i slip long ai bilong Sekem. Na hap arere i ran long han sut sait i go long ol husat i stap long En-tapua. | And the coast of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethah, that lieth before Shechem; and the border went along on the right hand unto the inhabitants of En–tappuah.
Nau Manasa i gat dispela hap bilong Tapua. Tasol Tapua long hap arere bilong Manasa i bilong ol pikinini bilong Ifraim. | Now Manasseh had the land of Tappuah: but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim;
Na hap arere i go daun i go long wara Kana, long hap saut bilong riva. Ol dispela biktaun bilong Ifraim i stap namel long ol biktaun bilong Manasa. Hap arere bilong Manasa tu i stap long hap not bilong riva, na ol hap i go ausait bilong en i stap long biksi. | And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea:
Long hap saut em i bilong Ifraim, na long hap not em i bilong Manasa, na biksi em i hap arere bilong em. Na ol i bung wantaim long Aser long hap not, na long Isakar long hap is. | Southward it was Ephraim’s, and northward it was Manasseh’s, and the sea is his border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east.
Na Manasa i gat insait long Isakar na insait long Aser Bet-sean na ol taun bilong en, na Ipleam na ol taun bilong en, na ol husat i stap long Dor na ol taun bilong en, na ol husat i stap long Endor na ol taun bilong en, na ol husat i stap long Teanak na ol taun bilong en, na ol husat i stap long Megiddo na ol taun bilong en, yes, tripela kantri. | And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Beth–shean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, even three countries.
Yet ol pikinini bilong Manasa i no inap long ranim i go ausait ol husati stap long ol dispela biktaun. Tasol ol lain Kenan i gat laik long stap long dispela hap. | Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
Yet em i kamap olsem, taim ol pikinini bilong Isrel i wok long kamap strong, long ol i putim ol lain Kenan aninit long takis. Tasol ol i no bin ranim ol i go ausait olgeta. | Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them out.
¶ Na ol pikinini bilong Josep i tokim Josua, i spik, Bilong wanem yu bin givim mi wanpela hap satu tasol na wanpela hap skel long kisim olsem samting papa i givim pikinini, taim yu luksave olsem mi stap wanpela bikpela lain manmeri, bikos BIKPELA i bin blesim mi i kam inap long nau? | And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the Lord hath blessed me hitherto?
Na Josua i bekim tok long ol, Sapos yu stap wanpela bikpela lain manmeri, orait kisim yu yet i go antap long hap i gat ol diwai, na katim i go daun bilong yu yet long dispela hap long hap graun bilong ol lain Peris na bilong ol traipela man, sapos maunten Ifraim i no patpela inap long yu. | And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
Na ol pikinini bilong Josep i tok, Dispela liklik maunten i no inap long mipela. Na olgeta lain Kenan husat i stap long dispela hap bilong ples daun i gat ol karis ain, ol lain husat i stap bilong Bet-sean na ol taun bilong en, na ol lain husat i stap long ples daun bilong Jesril wantaim. | And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Beth–shean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
Na Josua i tokim hauslain bilong Josep, yes, i go long Ifraim na i go long Manasa, i spik, Yu stap wanpela bikpela lain manmeri, na yu gat bikpela strong. Yu no ken gat wanpela hap satu tasol. | And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only:
Tasol dispela maunten bai stap bilong yu. Long wanem, em i stap wanpela hap bilong diwai. na yu bai katim em i go daun. Na ol hap i go ausait bilong en bai stap bilong yu. Long wanem, yu bai ranim i go ausait ol lain Kenan, maski ol i gat ol karis ain, na maski ol i stap strong. | But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.
