¶ Goan nau, yupela ol maniman, krai tru na singaut sori bilong tingim ol dispela hevi nogut bilong yupela i bai kam antap long yupela. | Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
Ol mani samting bilong yupela i bagarap pinis, na ol klos bilong yupela ol bataplai bilong nait i kaikai pinis. | Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
Ol gol na silva bilong yupela i bagarap long ros. Na ros bilong ol bai stap wanpela witnes i birua long yupela, na em bai kaikai bodi bilong yupela samting olsem em i paia. Yupela i bin hipim ol samting i dia tru wantaim bilong ol las de. | Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Lukim, pe bilong ol wokman husat i bin kamautim kaikai long ol bikpela gaden bilong yupela, dispela yupela i holim bek long pasin giaman, i singaut. Na ol singaut bilong ol husat i bin kamautim kaikai i go insait long tupela ia bilong Bikpela bilong sabaot. | Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
Long dispela graun, yupela i bin stap laip insait long amamas, na bin raun nating nogut. Yupela i bin mekim ol bel bilong yupela i kisim strong, olsem long wanpela de bilong bikpela kilim i dai. | Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
Yupela i bin sutim tok na kilim ol stretpela man. Na em i no sanap na birua long yupela. | Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
Olsem na sanap strong long traim, ol brata, inap long kam bek bilong Bikpela. Lukim, man bilong lukautim gaden i wet long ol kaikai i dia tumas bilong dispela graun, na em i gat pasin bilong sanap strong longpela taim long traim bilong wetim dispela, inap long taim em i kisim ren bilong pastaim na ren bilong bihain. | Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Yupela tu mas sanap strong long traim. Strongim ol bel bilong yupela. Long wanem, kam bek bilong Bikpela i wok long kam klostu. | Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
No ken gat tok wanpela i birua long narapela, ol brata, nogut yupela i lus long kot. Lukim, jas i sanap long ai bilong dua. | Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Kisim, ol brata bilong mi, ol profet, husat i bin toktok long nem bilong Bikpela, long wanpela piksa bilong karim pen long taim hevi, na bilong sanap strong long traim. | Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Lukim, yumi kaunim ol i amamas husat i stap strong yet long traim. Yupela i bin harim long pasin bilong Jop long sanap strong long traim, na yupela i bin lukim pinis bilong Bikpela, long Bikpela em i man bilong soim sori tru, na bilong sori i isi moa. | Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
¶ Tasol antap long olgeta samting, ol brata bilong mi, no ken wokim strongpela promis, long heven, o long dispela graun, o long wanpela arapela strongpela promis. Tasol larim ol yes bilong yupela i stap yes, na ol nogat bilong yupela i stap nogat. Nogut yupela i pundaun long pe nogut bilong kot. | But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
I gat wanpela namel long yupela i kisim hevi? Larim em beten. I gat wanpela i amamas? Larim em singim ol sam. | Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
I gat wanpela i sik namel long yupela? Larim em singautim ol lapun hetman bilong sios. Na larim ol beten antap long em, taim ol i welim em wantaim wel long nem bilong Bikpela. | Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Na prea bilong bilip tru bai kisim bek sikman, na Bikpela bai kirapim em. Na sapos em i bin mekim ol sin, God bai lusim ol. | And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Autim ol asua bilong yupela wanpela i go long narapela, na beten wanpela bilong helpim narapela, inap long yupela i ken kamap orait gen. Strongpela prea tru i gat pawa bilong wanpela stretpela man bai helpim planti. | Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Ilaias em i wanpela man i stap aninit long ol wankain hevi olsem yumi stap, na em i beten strong long em i no ken ren. Na em i no ren long dispela graun long taim bilong tripela yia na sikispela mun. | Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
Na em i beten gen, na heven i givim ren, na dispela graun i karim kaikai bilong em. | And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Ol brata, sapos wanpela bilong yupela i lusim rot bilong tok tru, na wanpela i senisim bilip bilong em, | Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Larim em save, long em husat i senisim bilip bilong sinman long paul bilong pasin bilong em bai kisim bek wanpela tewel long dai, na em bai haitim planti sin tru. | Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
