| 2 | Tasol bilong mi, klostu tupela lek bilong mi i bin i go pinis. Klostu tru wokabaut bilong mi i bin pundaun. | But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. |
| 3 | Long wanem mi bin mangal long kisim pasin bilong ol longlong man, taim mi lukim ol mani samting bilong ol man i nogut tru. | For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. |
| 4 | Long wanem i no gat pen long i dai pinis bilong ol. Tasol strong bilong ol i no lusim ol. | For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. |
| 5 | Ol i no karim hevi olsem ol arapela man. Na tu ol i no kisim bagarap olsem ol arapela man. | They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. |
| 6 | Olsem na bikhet pasin i save raunim ol olsem sen. Pasin bilong bagarapim man i karamapim ol olsem klos. | Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. |
| 7 | Ol ai bilong ol i patpela inap long man i ken lukim. Ol samting ol i holim i winim ol samting bel i laik kisim. | Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. |
| 8 | Ol i tok bilas na ol i mekim tok i nogut tru long givim hevi long man. Ol i save mekim tok hambak. | They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. |
| 9 | Ol i mekim maus bilong ol i birua long ol heven. Na tang bilong ol i save wokabaut long dispela graun. | They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. |
| 10 | Olsem na ol manmeri bilong Em i kam bek long hia. Na ol i rausim ol wara bilong kap i pulap, na ol wara i go long ol. | Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. |
| 11 | Na ol i tok, Olsem wanem God i save? Na ating save i stap long Man i Antap olgeta? | And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? |
| 12 | Harim, ol dispela i ol man i bihainim pasin nogut. Ol i stap gut long dispela graun. Ol mani samting bilong ol i kamap moa yet. | Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. |
| 13 | Tru, mi bin klinim nating bel bilong mi. Na mi bin wasim tupela han bilong mi long pasin bilong i no bin mekim rong. | Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency. |
| 14 | Long wanem long olgeta hap bilong de mi bin kisim bagarap. Na olgeta moning God i bin stikim mi. | For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. |
| 15 | ¶ Sapos mi tok, Bai mi tok olsem, orait harim, mi bai bagarapim bel bilong lain manmeri bilong ol pikinini bilong Yu. | If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children. |
| 16 | Taim mi tingting long kisim save long dispela, em i givim pen tumas long mi, | When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; |
| 17 | Inap long mi bin i go insait long haus holi bilong God. Long dispela taim mi bin save gut long pinis bilong ol. | Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. |
| 18 | Tru, Yu bin putim ol long ol hap i wel nogut tru. Yu bin tromoi ol i go daun long bagarap. | Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. |
| 19 | Ol i go long bikpela bagarap kwiktaim tru! Ol i bagarap olgeta long ol samting bilong pretim ol i nogut tru. | How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors. |
| 20 | Olsem wanpela driman taim man i kirap, olsem tasol, O Bikpela, taim Yu kirap, bai Yu tingim dispela piksa bilong ol i samting nating. | As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image. |
| 21 | ¶ Olsem na bel bilong mi i bin stap hevi tru na dispela i sutim tingting bilong mi. | Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. |
| 22 | Mi bin stap kranki tru, na mi longlong. Mi bin stap olsem wanpela animal long ai bilong Yu. | So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. |
| 23 | Tasol mi stap wantaim Yu olgeta taim. Yu bin holimpas mi long han sut bilong mi. | Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. |
| 24 | Long tok helpim bilong Yu, bai Yu soim rot long mi. Na bihain bai Yu kisim mi i go long glori. | Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. |
| 25 | Mi gat husat i stap long heven? Yu tasol. Na i no gat wanpela man long dispela graun mi laikim em. Yu tasol. | Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. |
| 26 | Bodi bilong mi na bel bilong mi i laik i dai. Tasol God em i strong bilong bel bilong mi, na Em i hap samting bilong mi inap oltaim oltaim. | My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. |
| 27 | Long wanem, harim, ol man i stap longwe long Yu, bai ol i dai. Yu bin bagarapim olgeta man i lusim Yu na i pamuk nabaut. | For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. |
| 28 | Tasol i gutpela sapos mi kam klostu long God. Mi bin putim bilip bilong mi long GOD Bikpela, bai mi ken tokaut long olgeta wok bilong Yu. | But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works. |
