절King Jems Pisin BaibelKing James Version
¶ Na moa tu Ahitofel i tokim Absalom, Larim mi nau makim 12,000 man, na mi bai kirap na ran bihainim Devit long dispela nait. Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:
Na mi bai kam antap long em taim em i les tru na han em i no gat strong, na mi bai mekim em pret. Na olgeta manmeri husat i stap wantaim em bai ranawe. Na mi bai paitim king wanpela tasol. And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only:
Na mi bai bringim bek olgeta manmeri i kam long yu. Dispela man husat yu painim em i stap olsem olgeta i kam bek pinis. Olsem tasol olgeta manmeri bai stap long bel isi. And I will bring back all the people unto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.
Na toktok i amamasim Absalom gut, na olgeta lapun hetman bilong Isrel. And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.
Nau Absalom i tok, Singautim nau man Arki Husai tu, na larim yumi harim wankain olsem wanem samting em i tok. Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he saith.
Na taim Husai i kam long Absalom, Absalom i tokim em, i spik, Ahitofel i bin toktok i bihainim dispela pasin. Bai yumi mekim samting i bihainim ol toktok bilong em? Sapos nogat, yu toktok. And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou.
Nau Husai i tokim Absalom, Dispela tok helpim Ahitofel i bin givim i no gutpela long dispela taim. And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time.
Long wanem, Husai i tok, yu save long papa bilong yu na ol lain bilong em, long ol i ol strongpela man, na ol i belhat tru long tingting bilong ol, olsem wanpela bea stilman i stilim ol pikinini bilong em long ples kunai. Na papa bilong yu em i wanpela man bilong bikpela pait, na em bai i no inap stap wantaim ol manmeri. For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
Lukim, em i hait pinis nau long wanpela bikpela hul, o long wanpela arapela ples. Na em bai kamap olsem, taim sampela bilong ol i kisim bagarap long stat bilong pait, orait husat man i harim dispela bai tok, I gat wanpela bikpela kilim i dai namel long ol lain husat i bihainim Absalom. Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.
Na em tu husat i strongpela man bilong pait, husat bel bilong em i olsem bel bilong wanpela laion, bai kuk olgeta i kamap olsem wara. Long wanem, olgeta Isrel i save long papa bilong yu em i wanpela strongpela man, na ol husat i stap wantaim em i ol strongpela man tru bilong pait. And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
Olsem na mi givim tok helpim long olgeta man Isrel i ken bung wantaim i kam long yu, i stat long Dan, yes, i go inap long Biar-siba, olsem dispela wesan i stap klostu long biksi i planti tru, na long yu go long pait long bodi bilong yu yet. Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person.
Olsem tasol bai yumi kam antap long em long wanpela ples we yumi ken lukim em, na yumi bai kamap long em olsem wara i pundaun long graun long nait. Na long em na long olgeta man husat i stap wantaim em, bai i no gat wanpela i stap yet liklik. So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one.
Na moa tu, sapos em i go pinis insait long wanpela biktaun, orait olgeta Isrel bai bringim ol rop long dispela biktaun, na yumi bai pulim dispela i go insait long riva, inap long i no gat wanpela liklik ston ol i ken lukim long dispela hap. Moreover, if he be gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.
Na Absalom na olgeta man bilong Isrel i tok, Tok helpim man Arki Husai i givim i gutpela moa long tok helpim Ahitofel i givim. Long wanem, BIKPELA i bin makim long gutpela tok helpim Ahitofel i givim i ken go lus, inap long dispela as tingting long BIKPELA i ken bringim samting nogut i kam antap long Absalom. And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the Lord had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the Lord might bring evil upon Absalom.
¶ Nau Husai i tokim dispela tupela pris, Sedok na Abaiatar, Olsem na olsem Ahitofel i bin givim tok helpim long Absalom na ol lapun hetman bilong Isrel. Na olsem na olsem mi bin givim tok helpim. Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled.
Olsem na nau salim tok kwiktaim, na tokim Devit, i spik, No ken stap long dispela nait long ol ples stret bilong ples i no gat man, tasol go hapsait hariap, nogut ol i daunim king olgeta, na olgeta lain manmeri husat i stap wantaim em. Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.
Nau Jonatan na Ahimeas i stap yet klostu long En-rogel, long wanem, ol man i no ken lukim ol i kam insait long biktaun. Na wanpela yangpela meri i go na tokim ol. Na ol i go na tokim king Devit. Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by En–rogel; for they might not be seen to come into the city: and a wench went and told them; and they went and told king David.
Tasol wanpela manki i lukim ol, na tokim Absalom. Tasol tupela i lusim hap i go hariap, na kam long haus bilong wanpela man long Bahurim, husat i gat wanpela hul wara long ples op bilong em, we tupela i go daun insait long en. Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man’s house in Bahurim, which had a well in his court; whither they went down.
Na meri i kisim na opim wanpela karamap antap long maus bilong hul wara, na tromoi nabaut ol wit samting antap long en. Na i no gat wanpela i kisim save long dispela samting. And the woman took and spread a covering over the well’s mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known.
Na taim ol wokboi bilong Absalom i kam long dispela meri long haus, ol i tok, Ahimeas na Jonatan i stap we? Na dispela meri i tokim ol, Ol i go hapsait long liklik wara. Na taim ol i bin painim ol na ol i no inap long painim ol pinis, ol i go bek long Jerusalem. And when Absalom’s servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.
Na em i kamap olsem, bihain long ol i lusim dispela hap, long ol i kam antap ausait long dispela hul wara, na go na tokim king Devit, na tokim Devit, Kirap, na go hapsait long wara hariap. Long wanem, Ahitofel i bin givim tok helpim olsem i birua long yu. And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus hath Ahithophel counselled against you.
¶ Nau Devit i kirap, na olgeta manmeri husat i stap wantaim em, na ol i go hapsait long wara Jordan. Long lait bilong moning i no gat wanpela bilong ol husat i no bin go hapsait long Jordan. Then David arose, and all the people that were with him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan.
Na taim Ahitofel i luksave long ol i no bihainim tok helpim bilong em, em i putim sia long donki bilong em, na kirap, na kisim em yet i go long ples long haus bilong em, long biktaun bilong em, na stretim gut hauslain bilong em, na hangamapim em yet, na dai pinis, na ol i planim em long matmat bilong papa bilong em. And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father.
Nau Devit i kam long Mahanaim. Na Absalom i go hapsait long Jordan, em na olgeta man bilong Isrel wantaim em. Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.
Na Absalom i mekim Amasa kepten bilong ami long kisim ples bilong Joap. Dispela Amasa em i pikinini man bilong wanpela man, husat nem bilong en em Itra, wanpela man Isrel, husat i go long Abigel, pikinini meri bilong Nehas, susa bilong Seruaia, mama bilong Joap. And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab: which Amasa was a man’s son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab’s mother.
Olsem tasol Isrel na Absalom i sanapim ol haus sel long hap bilong Gileat So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead.
Na em i kamap olsem, taim Devit i kam long Mahanaim, long Sobi, pikinini man bilong Nehas bilong Raba bilong ol pikinini bilong Amon, na Makir, pikinini man bilong Amiel bilong Lodebar, na man Gileat Basilai bilong Rogelim, And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lo–debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,
I bringim ol bet, na ol traipela dis, na ol sospen graun, na wit, na bali, na plaua, na wit samting i drai olgeta, na ol bin, na ol lentil, na ol pals i drai olgeta, Brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentiles, and parched pulse,
Na hani, na bata, na sipsip, na sis bilong bulmakau, bilong Devit, na bilong ol lain manmeri husat i stap wantaim em, long kaikai. Long wanem, ol i tok, Ol manmeri i hangre, na les tru, na nekdrai, long ples i no gat man. And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of kine, for David, and for the people that were with him, to eat: for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.
