Na Miriam i dai pinis long dispela hap, na ol i planim em long dispela hap. | Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there. |
| 2 | Na i no gat wara bilong bung bilong ol manmeri. Na ol i bungim ol yet wantaim i birua long Moses na i birua long Eron. | And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron. |

Dispela em i no ples bilong pikinini kaikai, o bilong ol fik, o bilong ol rop wain, o bilong ol pomigranet. Na tu i no gat sampela wara long dring. | And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink. |

Na glori bilong BIKPELA i kamap ples klia long ol. | And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them. |

Na yu bai bringim i kam ausait wara long ol, ausait long dispela ston. Olsem tasol yu bai givim dring long bung bilong ol manmeri na ol animal bilong ol. | Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. |

Ating mipela mas kisim wara long yupela i kam ausait long dispela ston, a? | And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? |

Na wara i kam ausait planti moa yet, na bung bilong ol manmeri i dring, na ol animal bilong ol tu. | And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. |
| 12 | Na BIKPELA i tokim Moses na Eron, Bikos yutupela i no bilipim Mi, long mekim Mi kamap holi long ol ai bilong ol pikinini bilong Isrel, olsem na yutupela bai i no inap bringim bung bilong ol manmeri i go insait long hap, dispela Mi bin givim ol. | And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. |
| 13 | Dispela em i wara bilong Meriba. Bilong wanem, ol pikinini bilong Isrel i pait wantaim BIKPELA, na Em i kamap holi insait long ol. | This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the Lord, and he was sanctified in them. |
| 14 | ¶ Na Moses i salim ol mausman i lusim Kedes i go long king bilong Idom, Brata bilong yu Isrel i tok olsem, Yu save pinis olgeta dispela hatwok wantaim pen i bin kam antap long mipela, | And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Israel, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us: |

Na ol lain Isip i givim hevi tru long mipela, na ol tumbuna papa bilong mipela. | How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers: |

Na, lukim, mipela i stap long Kedes, wanpela biktaun long las hap bilong arere bilong yu. | And when we cried unto the Lord, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of thy border: |

Mipela bai i no inap tanim long han sut o han kais, inap long mipela i bin abrusim ol arere bilong yu. | Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king’s high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders. |

Mi bai go namel long hap long ol lek bilong mi tasol, na mi no inap mekim narapela samting. | And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of thy water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without doing any thing else, go through on my feet. |
| 20 | Na em i tok, Yu no ken go namel. Na Idom i kam ausait i birua long em wantaim planti manmeri, na wantaim wanpela han i strong. | And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand. |
| 21 | Olsem tasol Idom i tok nogat long givim Isrel rot namel long arere bilong em. Olsem na Isrel i tanim na lusim em. | Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him. |
| 22 | ¶ Na ol pikinini bilong Isrel, yes, bung bilong ol manmeri olgeta, i wokabaut i lusim Kedes, na kam long maunten Hor. | And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor. |
| 23 | Na BIKPELA i tokim Moses na Eron long maunten Hor, klostu long arere bilong hap bilong Idom, i spik, | And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying, |
| 24 | Eron bai bung i go long lain bilong em. Long wanem, em bai i no inap go insait long dispela hap, dispela Mi bin givim i go long ol pikinini bilong Isrel, bilong wanem, yutupela i bikhet i birua long tok bilong Mi long wara bilong Meriba. | Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah. |
| 25 | Kisim Eron na Eleasar, pikinini man bilong em, na bringim ol antap i go long maunten Hor. | Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor: |

Na Eron bai bung i go long ol lain bilong em, na em bai dai long dispela hap. | And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there. |
| 27 | Na Moses i mekim olsem BIKPELA i tok strong. Na ol i go antap long maunten Hor long ai bilong olgeta bung bilong ol manmeri. | And Moses did as the Lord commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation. |
| 28 | Na Moses i rausim long Eron ol klos bilong em, na putim ol antap long Eleasar, pikinini man bilong em. Na Eron i dai pinis long antap bilong maunten. Na Moses na Eleasar i kam daun long maunten. | And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount. |
| 29 | Na taim olgeta bung bilong ol manmeri i luksave long Eron i dai pinis, ol i soim sori long Eron 30 de, yes, olgeta hauslain bilong Isrel. | And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel. |
