|---|---|---|
¶ Tok lukaut i go long biktaun i pulap long blut! Em i pulap long ol giaman na raskol stil pasin. Ol prais bilong pait i no lusim dispela hap, | Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;
Nois bilong wanpela wip, na nois bilong ol pairap bilong ol wil, na bilong ol hos i danis nabaut, na bilong ol karis i kalap kalap. | The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
Dispela man i ran long hos i litimapim bainat i lait na spia bilong tromoi i lait lait nabaut wantaim. Na i gat planti manmeri tru ol i kilim i dai, na wanpela bikpela namba bilong ol daibodi. Na i no gat wanpela pinis bilong ol daibodi bilong ol. Ol man i sutim lek long ol daibodi bilong ol. | The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
Bilong wanem, planti pamuk pasin tru bilong pamuk meri i luk gutpela tru i stap, meri bilong ol poisin pasin, husat i save salim ol kantri long mani long wok bilong ol pamuk pasin bilong em, na ol famili long wok bilong ol poisin pasin bilong em. | Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
Lukim, Mi stap birua long yu, BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok. Na Mi bai soim ples klia ol laplap bilong yu antap long pes bilong yu, na Mi bai soim ol kantri skin nating bilong yu, na ol kingdom sem bilong yu. | Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
Na Mi bai tromoi doti samting tru i sting tru antap long yu, na mekim yu kamap nogut tru, na Mi bai putim yu olsem wanpela samting ol man bai lukluk strong long en. | And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.
Na em bai kamap olsem, long olgeta husat i lukluk long yu bai ranawe long yu, na tok, Niniva i stap nating. Husat bai krai sori long em? Mi bai painim ol man bilong givim bel isi long yu we? | And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
¶ Ating yu gutpela moa long hap No, dispela i pulap long ol man, a, husat i stap namel long ol riva, husat i gat ol wara raun nabaut long en, husat hap bilong em bilong pasim birua em biksi, na banis bilong em em i kam long biksi? | Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?
Itiopia na Isip i strong bilong em bipo, na em i no gat pinis. Put na Lubim i ol helpim bilong yu bipo. | Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.
Yet ol i karim em i go, em i go long kalabus. Ol yangpela pikinini bilong em tu ol i brukim long planti hap hap long antap bilong olgeta rot. Na ol i tromoi satu long ol man bilong em i gat ona, na olgeta bikman bilong em ol i pasim long ol sen. | Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
Yu tu bai stap spak. Yu bai stap hait, yu tu bai painim strong bikos birua i stap. | Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy.
Olgeta strongpela ples hait bilong yu bai stap olsem ol diwai fik wantaim ol fik i mau pastaim. Sapos ol i seksekim ol, ol bai pundaun, yes, i go insait long maus bilong man bilong kaikai. | All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.
Lukim, ol lain bilong yu insait long namel bilong yu em ol meri. Ol dua bilong banis bilong hap bilong yu ol bai putim i op tru i go long ol birua bilong yu. Paia bai kaikai olgeta ol ba bilong yu. | Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.
Yu pulim ol wara bilong taim ol i pasim biktaun, strongim ol strongpela ples hait bilong yu. Go insait long retpela graun, na krungutim simen, mekim ples bilong kukim brik i kamap strong. | Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the morter, make strong the brickkiln.
Long dispela hap paia bai kaikai yu olgeta. Bainat bai rausim yu olgeta, em bai kaikai yu olgeta olsem liklik snek kenka. Mekim yu yet i kamap planti olsem liklik snek kenka, mekim yu yet i kamap planti olsem ol lokas. | There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts.
Yu bin mekim ol bisnisman bilong yu long kamap planti moa long ol sta bilong heven. Liklik snek kenka i bagarapim ol samting, na flai i go. | Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth, and flieth away.
Ol lain bilong yu i putim hat king pinis i olsem ol lokas, na ol kepten bilong yu i olsem ol bikpela grasop, husat i wokim kem insait long ol banis long de i kol, tasol taim san i kamap ol i ranawe i go, na long ples bilong ol, ol man i no save ol i stap we. | Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.
Ol wasman bilong sipsip bilong yu i hap slip, O king bilong lain Asiria. Ol bikman bilong yu bai stap insait long das. Ol manmeri bilong yu i bruk nabaut antap long ol maunten, na i no gat man i bungim ol. | Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.
Bai i no gat rot long stretim liklik bagarap bilong yu. Bagarap bilong yu em i bikpela nogut tru. Olgeta husat i harim tok win long sait bilong yu bai paitim ol han antap long yu. Long wanem, antap long husat pasin nogut bilong yu i no bin go olgeta taim? | There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
