¶ Gutpela moa em i laik bilong God long yupela i ken karim hevi wantaim mi liklik long longlong toktok bilong mi. Na tru tru, karim hevi wantaim mi. | Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.
Long wanem, mi stap jeles antap long yupela wantaim pasin jeles i bihainim God. Long wanem, mi bin givim yupela long wanpela man bilong yu, inap long mi ken givim yupela i go long Kraist olsem wanpela meri i klin tru i no bin slip wantaim man. | For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Tasol mi pret, nogut long wanpela rot, olsem snek i trikim Iv long wok bilong tingting i antap tumas bilong em, olsem tasol ol tingting bilong yupela i ken stap bagarap i lusim dispela pasin i no hat long save i stap insait long Kraist. | But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Long wanem, sapos em husat i kam i autim narapela Jisas, husat mipela i no bin autim, o sapos yupela i kisim narapela spirit, dispela yupela i no bin kisim, o narapela gutnius, dispela yupela i no bin orait long en, em i gutpela long yupela i ken karim hevi wantaim em. | For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
¶ Long wanem, mi no ting olsem mi stap bihain liklik long ol nambawan tru bilong ol aposel. | For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.
Tasol maski mi stap rap long ol toktok, yet i no long save. Tasol olgeta hap bilong mipela i bin kamap ples klia tru namel long yupela long olgeta samting. | But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.
Ating mi bin mekim samting bilong bagarapim bel taim mi daunim nem bilong mi yet inap long mi ken litimapim yupela, bilong wanem, mi bin autim gutnius bilong God long yupela fri? | Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
Mi bin stil long ol arapela sios, taim mi kisim pe long ol, long mekim wok long yupela. | I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.
Na taim mi stap wantaim yupela, na mi sot, mi no gat dinau long wanpela man. Long wanem, dispela samting i sot long mi ol brata husat i kam long Masedonia i inapim. Na long olgeta samting mi bin pasim mi yet long stap samting bilong givim hevi long yupela, na olsem tasol bai mi lukautim mi yet. | And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.
Olsem tok tru bilong Kraist i stap insait long mi, i no gat man bai pasim mi long dispela litimapim nem mi mekim long ol hap graun bilong Akea. | As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.
Olsem wanem? Bikos mi no laikim yupela tru? God i save. | Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.
Tasol wanem samting mi mekim, dispela mi bai mekim, inap long mi ken rausim sans olgeta long ol husat i gat laik long painim sans. Inap long we ol i glori long en, ol man i ken lukim ol, yes, olsem mipela. | But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
Long wanem, kain man olsem em ol giaman aposel, ol giaman wokman, husat i tanim ol yet i kamap ol aposel bilong Kraist. | For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
Na i no samting bilong tingting planti. Long wanem, Seten em yet i tanim i kamap wanpela ensel bilong lait. | And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Olsem na em i no bikpela samting sapos ol wokman bilong em tu i tanim i kamap ol wokman bilong stretpela pasin, husat pinis bilong ol bai stap bilong bihainim ol wok bilong ol. | Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
¶ Mi tok gen, No ken larim wanpela man tingting olsem mi wanpela krankiman. Sapos nogat, yet olsem wanpela krankiman kisim mi, inap long mi ken litimapim nating mi yet liklik. | I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
Dispela samting mi toktok, mi no toktok long dispela long sait bilong Bikpela, tasol samting olsem kranki pasin, long dispela strongpela bilip bilong litimapim nating. | That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.
Taim yumi luksave long planti i glori i bihainim pasin bilong bodi, mi bai glori tu. | Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.
Long wanem, yupela i harim ol krankiman wantaim amamas, taim yupela yet i luksave long yupela i stap ol saveman. | For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.
Long wanem, yupela i karim pen, sapos wanpela man i bringim yupela i go long kalabus, sapos wanpela man i kaikai yupela olgeta, sapos wanpela man i kisim bilong yupela, sapos wanpela man i litimapim em yet, sapos wanpela man i paitim yupela long pes. | For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.
Mi toktok olsem long sait bilong samting bilong givim sem, olsem mipela i no bin gat strong. Tasol we wanem kain samting wanpela man i no pret insait long en, (mi toktok kranki,) mi stap man i no pret tu. | I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.
¶ Ating ol i ol Hibru? Mi stap olsem tu. Ating ol i ol lain Isrel? Mi stap olsem tu. Ating ol i tumbuna pikinini bilong Ebraham? Mi stap olsem tu. | Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.
Ating ol i ol wokman bilong Kraist? (Mi toktok olsem krankiman) mi moa, long ol hatwok i planti moa yet, long ol mak bilong wip antap long skel, long ol kalabus planti taim moa, long ol dai planti taim. | Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
Bilong ol Ju faipela taim mi kisim 39 mak bilong wip. | Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
Tripela taim ol i paitim mi wantaim ol stik diwai, wanpela taim ol i tromoi ston long kilim mi, tripela taim mi karim hevi long taim sip i bruk, wanpela nait na wanpela de mi bin stap long ples dip tru, | Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
Long ol wokabaut planti taim, long ol nogut bilong ol wara, long ol nogut bilong ol raskol stilman, long ol nogut bilong ol wan kantri bilong mi yet, long ol nogut bilong ol haiden, long ol nogut insait long biktaun, long ol nogut long ol ples i no gat man, long ol nogut long biksi, long ol nogut namel long ol giaman brata, | In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
Long pasin bilong pilim les tru na pasin bilong pulap long pen, long pasin bilong was planti taim, long hangre na nekdrai, long ol taim bilong tambuim kaikai planti taim, long kol na stap skin nating. | In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
Dispela i no kaunim ol dispela samting i stap ausait, dispela samting i kam antap long mi olgeta wan wan de, wok bilong lukautim olgeta sios. | Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
Husat i no gat strong, na mi gat strong? Bel bilong husat i bagarap, na mi no kuk? | Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?
Sapos mi mas i gat nid long glori, mi bai glori long ol dispela samting long sait bilong ol sik bilong mi. | If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.
God na Papa bilong Bikpela bilong yumi Jisas Kraist, husat blesing i stap long em oltaim oltaim, i save long mi no giaman. | The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.
Long Damaskas, nambawan gavman aninit long king Aretas i holimpas biktaun bilong ol lain Damaskas wantaim wanpela lain soldia, taim em i gat laik long kisim na holimpas mi. | In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:
Na i go namel olgeta long wanpela windo insait long wanpela basket ol i lusim mi i go daun long banis, na mi ranawe long ol han bilong em. | And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
