절NT Textus Receptus (1550 1894) ParsedKing James Version
ποθεν πολεμοι και μαχαι εν υμιν ουκ εντευθεν εκ των ηδονων υμων των στρατευομενων εν τοις μελεσιν υμων From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
επιθυμειτε και ουκ εχετε φονευετε και ζηλουτε και ου δυνασθε επιτυχειν μαχεσθε και πολεμειτε ουκ εχετε δε δια το μη αιτεισθαι υμας Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
αιτειτε και ου λαμβανετε διοτι κακως αιτεισθε ινα εν ταις ηδοναις υμων δαπανησητε Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
μοιχοι και μοιχαλιδες ουκ οιδατε οτι η φιλια του κοσμου εχθρα του θεου εστιν ος αν ουν βουληθη φιλος ειναι του κοσμου εχθρος του θεου καθισταται Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
η δοκειτε οτι κενως η γραφη λεγει προς φθονον επιποθει το πνευμα ο κατωκησεν εν ημιν Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
μειζονα δε διδωσιν χαριν διο λεγει ο θεος υπερηφανοις αντιτασσεται ταπεινοις δε διδωσιν χαριν But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
υποταγητε ουν τω θεω αντιστητε τω διαβολω και φευξεται αφ υμων Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
εγγισατε τω θεω και εγγιει υμιν καθαρισατε χειρας αμαρτωλοι και αγνισατε καρδιας διψυχοι Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
ταλαιπωρησατε και πενθησατε και κλαυσατε ο γελως υμων εις πενθος μεταστραφητω και η χαρα εις κατηφειαν Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
ταπεινωθητε ενωπιον του κυριου και υψωσει υμας Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
μη καταλαλειτε αλληλων αδελφοι ο καταλαλων αδελφου και κρινων τον αδελφον αυτου καταλαλει νομου και κρινει νομον ει δε νομον κρινεις ουκ ει ποιητης νομου αλλα κριτης Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
εις εστιν ο νομοθετης ο δυναμενος σωσαι και απολεσαι συ τις ει ος κρινεις τον ετερον There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
αγε νυν οι λεγοντες σημερον και η αυριον πορευσωμεθα πορευσομεθα εις τηνδε την πολιν και ποιησωμεν ποιησομεν εκει ενιαυτον ενα και εμπορευσωμεθα και κερδησωμεν εμπορευσομεθα και κερδησομεν Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
οιτινες ουκ επιστασθε το της αυριον ποια γαρ η ζωη υμων ατμις γαρ εστιν η προς ολιγον φαινομενη επειτα δε αφανιζομενη Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
αντι του λεγειν υμας εαν ο κυριος θεληση και ζησωμεν και ποιησωμεν ζησομεν και ποιησομεν τουτο η εκεινο For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
νυν δε καυχασθε εν ταις αλαζονειαις υμων πασα καυχησις τοιαυτη πονηρα εστιν But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
ειδοτι ουν καλον ποιειν και μη ποιουντι αμαρτια αυτω εστιν Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
