| 1 | En Psalm Assaphs. Herren Gud den mägtige talar, och kallar verldena, ifrå solenes uppgång, allt intill nedergången. | The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. |
| 2 | Af Zion går upp Guds härliga sken. | Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. |
| 3 | Vår Gud kommer, och tiger intet. Förtärande eld går för honom, och omkring honom en mägtig storm. | Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. |
| 4 | Han kallar himmel och jord, att han skall döma sitt folk. | He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. |
| 5 | Församler mig mina heliga, som förbundet mer akta än offer. | Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. |
| 6 | Och himlarna skola förkunna hans rättfärdighet; ty Gud är domaren. Sela. | And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah. |
| 7 | Hör, mitt folk, låt mig tala; Israel, låt mig ibland dig betyga: Jag Gud är din Gud. | Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. |
| 8 | För ditt offers skull straffar jag dig intet; äro dock dine bränneoffer alltid för mig. | I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. |
| 9 | Jag vill icke taga oxar utu ditt hus, eller bockar utu dine stall; | I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. |
| 10 | Ty all djur i skogenom äro mine, och boskapen på bergen, der de vid tusendetal gå. | For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. |
| 11 | Jag känner alla foglar på bergen, och allahanda djur på markene äro för mig. | I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. |
| 12 | Om mig hungrade, ville jag intet säga dig deraf; ty jordenes krets är min, och allt det deruti är. | If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. |
| 13 | Menar du, att jag oxakött äta vill, eller bockablod dricka? | Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? |
| 14 | Offra Gudi tackoffer, och betala dem Högsta ditt löfte. | Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: |
| 15 | Och åkalla mig i nödene; så vill jag hjelpa dig, så skall du prisa mig. | And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. |
| 16 | Men till den ogudaktige säger Gud: Hvi förkunnar du mina rätter, och tager mitt förbund i din mun; | But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? |
| 17 | Efter du dock hatar tuktan, och kastar min ord bakom dig? | Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. |
| 18 | När du ser en tjuf, så löper du med honom, och hafver din del med horkarlar. | When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. |
| 19 | Din mun låter du tala det ondt är, och din tunga bedrifver falskhet. | Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. |
| 20 | Du sitter och talar emot din broder; dine moders son förtalar du. | Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son. |
| 21 | Detta gör du, och jag tiger. Det menar du, att jag skulle vara lika som du; men jag skall straffa dig, och sätta dig det under ögonen. | These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. |
| 22 | Märker dock det, I som Gud förgäten, att jag icke en gång bortrycker, och är så ingen förlösare mer. | Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. |
| 23 | Den der tack offrar, han prisar mig; och der är vägen, att jag visar honom Guds salighet. | Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. |
