1 Ty lagen hafwer skuggan af det tillkommande goda, och icke sjelfwa warelsen. Årligen måste man offra alltid enahanda offer, och kan icke göra dem fullborda, som det offra. For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 Annars hade det återwändt offras: efter de, som så offra, hade sedan intet samwete haft af synder, när de hade en resa warit rene gjorde. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
3 Utan dermed sker en åminnelse på synderna hwart år. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
4 Ty omöjligt är genom oxablod och bockablod borttaga synder. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Derföre, då Han kommer i werlden, säger Han: Offer och gåfwor hafwer du icke welat; men kroppen hafwer du mig beredt. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 Bränneoffer och syndoffer behaga dig icke. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Då sade jag: Si, jag kommer; i boken är skrifwet om mig, att jag skall göra din wilja, o Gud. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Tillförene då Han sade: Offer och gåfwor, bränneoffer och syndoffer hafwer du icke welat; icke behaga de dig heller, hwilka efter lagen offras; Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Då sade Han: Si jag kommer, till att göra, o Gud, din wilja. Der tager Han det första bort, att Han det andra insätta skall. Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 I hwilken wilja wi helgade äro en resa, genom JEsu Christi kropps offer. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 Och hwar och en prest är insatt, att han dagligen skall sköta gudstjensten, och ofta offra enahanda offer, hwilka aldrig kunna borttaga synder. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 Men denne, då han hade offrat ett offer för synderna, det ewinnerligen gäller, sitter Han på Guds högra hand. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 Och wäntar nu, till dess Hans owänner lagde warda Honom till en fotapall. From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 Ty med ett offer hafwer Han ewinnerligen fullkomnat dem, som helige warda. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Det betygar oss ock den Helige Ande, ty då Han tillförene sagt hade: Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 Det är det Testamentet, som jag dem göra will, efter de dagar, säger HERren: jag will gifwa min lag i deras hjerta, och i deras sinne will jag skrifwa dem. This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 Och deras synder och orättfärdighet will jag icke mer ihågkomma. And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Der nu sådan förlåtelse är, der är icke mer offer för synder. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Efter wi nu hafwa, käre bröder, frihet till att ingå uti det heliga, genom JEsu blod. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 Hwilken Han oss beredt hafwer till en ny och lefwande wäg, genom förlåten, det är, genom sitt kött. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 Och hafwa en Öfwersteprest öfwer Guds hus; And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Så låt oss framgå, med ett sannskyldigt hjerta, uti en fullkomlig tro, bestänkte i hjertan ifrån ett ondt samwete, och twagne om kroppen med rent watten. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Och låt oss hålla hoppets bekännelse owikligen; ty Han är trofast, som det lofwat hafwer. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 Och låt oss akta på oss inbördes, till att uppwäcka till kärlek och goda gerningar. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Icke öfwergifwande wår församling, såsom somlige för sed hafwa, utan förmaner eder inbördes, och det dess mer, att I sen huru dagen nalkas. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 Ty om wi sjelfwiljande synda, sedan wi förstått hafwa sanningen, då står oss intet offer igen för synderna. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 Utan en förskräcklig domens förbidelse, och eldens nit, som motståndarena förtära skall. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 Ho som bryter Mose lag, han måste dö utan barmhertighet, efter tu eller tre wittnen. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Huru mycket större näpst, menen I, förtjenar den, som Guds Son förtrampar, och Testamentets blod såsom orent aktar, genom hwilket Han helgad är, och försmäder nådens Anda? Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 Ty wi känna den som sade: Hämden är min; jag skall wedergälla det, säger HERren. Och åter: HERren skall döma sitt folk. For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 Det är gräseligt falla uti lefwandes Guds händer. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 Men kommer ihåg de framlidna dagar, i hwilka I upplyste woren, och stoden en stor törning i bedröfwelsen. But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
33 En dels, då I sjelfwe genom hädelse och bedröfwelse ett widunder worden; och en dels, då I sällskap haden med dem, som det så går. Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34 Ty I hafwen delaktige warit af de bedröfwelser, som af mina bojor gingo, och med fröjd lidit edra egodelars försköfling, wetande, att I när eder sjelfa bättre och blifwande egodelar hafwen i himmelen. For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35 Så kaster icke nu bort eder tröst, som en stor lön hafwer. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 Ty tålamodet är eder behof; på det I mågen göra Guds wilja, och få det, som lofwat är. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37 Ty ännu en liten tid, så kommer den som komma skall, och fördröjer icke. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38 Men den rättfärdige skall lefwa af tron; och hwilken sig undandrager, han skall icke behaga min själ. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 Men wi äro icke de, som oss undandrage till förtappelse; utan af dem som tro, och frälsa själen. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
