1 HERren sade till Mose: Gack in till Pharao, och säg till honom: Detta säger HERren: Släpp mitt folk, att de måga tjena mig. And the Lord spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2 Hwar du icke will, si, så will jag plåga alla dina landsändar med paddor; And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:
3 Så att älwen skall uppwälla paddor: De skola uppstiga och komma in i din hus, in i din kammar, in i din lägre, in i din säng, och in i dina tjenares hus, ibland ditt folk, in uti dina bakugnar, och uti din deg. And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:
4 Och paddor skola stiga uppå dig, och uppå ditt folk, och uppå alla dina tjenare. And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.
5 Och HERren sade till Mose: Säg till Aaron: Räck ut dina hand med din staf öfwer älfwer, och strömmar, och sjöar, och låt paddor komma öfwer Egypti land. And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
6 Och Aaron räckte ut sina hand öfwer wattnen i Egypten; och paddor kommo derut, så att Egypti land wardt öfwertäckt. And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
7 Då gjorde ock trollkarlarna sammalunda med deras beswärjningar; och läto komma paddor öfwer Egypti land. And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.
8 Då kallade Pharao Mose och Aaron, och sade: Beder HERran för mig att han tager paddorna ifrå mig, och ifrå mitt folk; så will jag släppa folket, att de måga offra HERranom. Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the Lord, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the Lord.
9 Mose sade: Haf du den ärona, och lägg mig före, när jag skall bedja för dig, för dina tjenare, och för ditt folk; att paddorna skola fördrefne warda ifrå dig, och ifrå ditt hus, och allenast blifwa i älfwene. And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
10 Han sade: I morgon. Han sade: Såsom du sagt hafwer, på det du skall förnimma, att ingen är såsom HERren wår Gud. And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the Lord our God.
11 Så skola paddorna warda tagna ifrå dig, ifrå ditt hus, ifrå dina tjenare, ifrå ditt folk, och allena blifwa i älfwene. And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.
12 Så gingo Mose och Aaron ifrå Pharao. Och Mose ropade till HERran för paddornas skull, såsom han Pharao tillsagt hade. And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the Lord because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.
13 Och HERren gjorde, som Mose sagt hade. Och paddorna blefwe döda i husen, i gårdarna, och på markene. And the Lord did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.
14 Och de kastade dem tillsamman, här en hop, och der en hop, och marken luktade derutaf. And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.
15 Då Pharao såg, att han hade sått rolighet, wardt hans hjerta förhärdardt, och hörde dem intet, såsom HERren sagt hade. But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
16 Och HERren sade till Mose: Säg till Aaron: Räck ut din staf, och slå i stoftet på jordene, att löss warda i hela Egypti lande. And the Lord said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
17 De gjorde ock så. Och Aaron räckte ut sina hand med sin staf, och slog i stoftet uppå jordene, och der wordo löss på menniskom, och på boskapen. Allt stoft på markene wardt löss i hela Egypti lande. And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
18 Trollkarlarna gjorde ock sammalunda med deras beswärjningar, att de skulle göra löss, men de kunde icke. Och lössena woro på menniskom, och på boskapen. And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.
19 Då sade trollkarlarna till Pharao: Detta är Guds finger. Men Pharaos hjerta wardt förstockadt, och han hörde dem intet, såsom HERren sagt hade. Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
20 Och HERren sade till Mose: Statt upp bittida om morgonen, och gack för Pharao: Si, han warder utgångandes till wattnet, och säg till honom: Detta säger HERren: Släpp mitt folk, att de måga tjena mig. And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
21 Hwar icke, si, så will jag låta komma allahanda ohyro öfwer dig, dina tjenare, ditt folk, och ditt hus, så att all de Egyptiers hus, och marken, och hwad deruppå är, skola warda full af ohyre. Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
22 Och will jag på den dagen göra ett besynnerligit med den landsändan Gosen, der mitt folk uti är, att der skall ingen ohyra komma, på det du skall förnimma, att jag är HERren öfwer hela jordena; And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.
23 Och will en förlösning sätta emellan mitt folk och ditt. I morgon skall det tecknet ske. And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.
24 Och HERren gjorde så. Och der kom mycken ohyra uti Pharaos hus, i hans tjenares hus, och öfwer hela Egypti land, och landet wardt förderfwadt af den ohyrene. And the Lord did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants’ houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.
25 Då kallade Pharao Mose och Aaron, och sade: Går åstad, och offrer edrom Gud här i landena. And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.
26 Mose sade: Det betämmer sig icke, att wi så göre; förty wi offre HERranom wårom Gud de Egyptiers styggelse: Si, när vi nu de Egyptiers styggelse offrade för deras ögon, månde de icke skola stena oss? And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the Lord our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?
27 Tre dagsresor wilje wi gå in uti öknena, och offra HERranom wårom Gud, såsom han oss sagt hafwer. We will go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the Lord our God, as he shall command us.
28 Pharao sade: Jag will släppa eder, att I mån offra HERranom edrom Gud i öknene, allenast att I icke fjerran faren; och bedjen för mig. And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me.
29 Mose sade: Si, när jag härut ifrå dig kommer, så will jag bedja HERran, att denna ohyran må blifwa borttagen ifrå Pharao, och hans tjenare, och hans folk, i morgon: Allenast förhala mig icke länger, att du icke släpper folket till att offra HERranom. And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the Lord that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.
30 Och Mose gick ut ifrå Pharao, och bad HERran. And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the Lord.
31 Och HERren gjorde, såsom Mose sagt hade, och tog de ohyrona bort ifrå Pharao, ifrå hans tjenare, och ifrå hans folke, så att icke en blef qwar. And the Lord did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.
32 Men Pharao förhärdade sitt hjerta ännu i denna resone, och wille icke släppa folket. And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.
