| 2 | Hvem äst du biståndig? Dem som ingen magt hafver? Hjelper du honom, som ingen starkhet hafver i armenom? | How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength? |
| 3 | Hvem gifver du råd? Dem som intet vet? Och du bär fram dina stora gerningar? | How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is? |
| 4 | För hvem talar du? Och inför hvem går anden ifrå dig? | To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee? |
| 5 | De Reser ängslas under vattnen, och de som när dem bo. | Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. |
| 6 | Helvetet är bart för honom, och förderfvet hafver intet öfvertäckelse. | Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. |
| 7 | Han sträcker ut nordet på ingo, och hänger jordena uppå intet. | He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. |
| 8 | Vattnet samkar han i sina skyar, och skyarna remna icke derunder. | He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. |
| 9 | Han håller sin stol, och utbreder sin sky derföre. | He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it. |
| 10 | Han hafver satt ett mål om vattnet, intilldess ljus och mörker blifver ändadt. | He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. |
| 11 | Himmelens stodar skälfva, och gifva sig för hans näpst. | The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. |
| 12 | För hans kraft varder hafvet hasteliga stormande, och för hans klokhet stillar sig hafsens höghet. | He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. |
| 13 | På himmelen varder det klart igenom hans väder, och hans hand drifver bort hvalfisken. | By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. |
| 14 | Si, alltså går det till med hans gerningar; men hvad besynnerligit hafve vi derutinnan hört? Ho kan förstå hans magts dunder? | Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand? |
