1 Dömer icke, på det I icke skolen warda dömde. Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 Ty med den dom, som I dömen, skolen I dömde warda; och med det mått, som I mäten, skall eder mätit warda. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 Huru ser du et grand i dins broders öga, och warder icke warse en bjelka i ditt öga? And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Eller, huru säger du dinom broder: Håll, jag will taga ut grandet af ditt öga; och si, en bjelke är i ditt öga? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Du skrymtare, kasta först ut bjelkan af ditt öga; sedan se til, huru du kant uttaga grandet af dins broders öga. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
6 I skolen icke gifwa hundomen det heligt är, och edra perlor skolen I icke kasta för swin, at de icke trampa dem med sina fötter, och wända sig om emot eder, och rifwa eder. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7 Beder, och eder skall warda gifwet; söker, och I skolen finna; klapper, och eder skall uplåtas: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 Ty den som beder, han får, och den som söker, han finner, och honom som klappar warder uplåtet. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Eller, hwilken är den menniska ibland eder, at om hans son bedes bröd af honom, som bjuder honom en sten? Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Eller, om han bedes fisk, mån han då räcka honom en orm? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 Är det nu så, at I, som onde ären, kunnen likwäl gifwa edor barn goda gåfwor; huru mycket mer warder edar Fader, som är i himmelen, gifwandes dem godt, som bedas of honom? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12 Allt det I nu wiljen menniskorna skola göra eder, det görer I ock dem; ty detta är lagen och Propheterne. Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Går in igenom den trånga porten; ty den porten är wid, och den wägen är bred, som drager til fördömelse; och de äro månge, som gå på honom. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Och den porten är trång, och den wägen smal, som drager til lifwet; och få äro de, som finna honom. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Wakter eder for de falska Propheter, som komma til eder i fårakläder, men inwärtes äro de glupande ulfwar. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Utaf deras frukt skolen I känna dem: Icke hemtar man windrufwor af törne, ej heller fikon af tistel. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Så bär hwart och et godt trä goda frukt; men et ondt trä bär onda frukt; Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 Et godt trä kan icke bära onda frukt; icke kan heller et ondt trä bära goda frukt. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Hwart och et trä, som icke bär goda frukt, skall afhuggas, och kastas i elden. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Derföre skolen I känna dem på deras frukt. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Icke warder hwar och en kommandes in i himmelriket, som säger til mig: HERre, HERre; utan den, som gör mins Faders wilja, som är i himmelen. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 På den dagen warda månge sägande til mig: HERre, HERre, hafwe wi icke propheterat uti ditt Namn, och i ditt Namn utdrifwit djeflar, och i ditt Namn många kraftiga gerningar gjort? Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 Då skall jag bekänna dem: Jag kände eder aldrig; går ifrå mig, I ogerningsmän. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Derföre, hwar och en som hörer dessa min ord, och gör derefter, honom liknar jag wid en wis man, som sitt bus byggde på et hälleberg. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 Så föll slagregn, och kom flod, och wädret blåste, och stötte på huset, och föll dock icke omkull; ty det war grundadt på hälleberget. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 Och whar och en som hörer af mig dessa ord, och gör icke derefter, han liknas wid en fåwitsk man, som byggde sitt hus på sanden: And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 Och föll slagregn, och kom flod, och wädret blåste, och stötte på huset; och det föll omkull, och dess fall war stort. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 Och det begaf sig, när JEsus lyktade detta talet, wardt folket förskräckt öfwer hans lärdom. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 Ty han predikate wäldeliga, och icke som de Skriftlärde. For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
