| 1 | I skolen icke göra eder några afgudar, eller beläte, icke heller upresa eder några stodar, icke heller någon wårdsten sätta uti edro lande, til at tilbedja derföre: Ty jag är HERren edar Gud. | Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God. |
| 2 | Håller mina Sabbather, och frukter eder för min helgedom. Jag är HERren. | Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord. |
| 3 | Om I wandren i minom stadgom, och hållen min bud, och gören dem; | If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; |
| 4 | Så skall jag gifwa eder regn i sinom tid; landet skall gifwa sin wäxt, och trän på markene bära sina frukt. | Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. |
| 5 | Och tröskotiden skall räcka intil winandena, och winanden skall räcka intil sädestiden. Och I skolen hafwa bröd nog, och skolen tryggeliga bo i edro lande. | And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. |
| 6 | Jag skall gifwa frid i edro lande, at I skolen sofwa, och ingen förfära eder. Jag skall låta komma de onda djur utur edro lande, och intet swärd skall gå genom edart land. | And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. |
| 7 | I skolen jaga edra fiendar, och de skola falla för eder genom swärd. | And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. |
| 8 | Fem af eder skola jaga hundrade, och hundrade af eder skola jaga tio tusende; ty edre fiender skola falla för eder genom swärd. | And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. |
| 9 | Och jag skall wända mig til eder; jag skall föröka eder, och låta eder wäxa til, och jag skall göra mitt förbund fast med eder. | For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. |
| 10 | Och I skolen äta af det gamla, så at I skolen låta det gamla fara för det nya. | And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new. |
| 11 | Jag skall hafwa min boning ibland eder, och min själ skall icke förkasta eder. | And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you. |
| 12 | Och jag skall wandra ibland eder, och skall wara edar Gud, så skolen I wara mitt folk. | And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. |
| 13 | Ty jag är HERren edar Gud, den eder utur Egypti land fört hafwer, at I icke skullen wara deras trälar. Och hafwer sönderbrutit edart ok, och hafwer låtit eder gå rätta. | I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright. |
| 14 | Men om I icke hören mig, och icke gören dessa buden all: | But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; |
| 15 | Utan förakten mina stadgar, och edra själar förkasta mina rätter, så at I icke gören all min bud, och låten mitt förbund tilbaka; | And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: |
| 16 | Så skall jag ock då göra eder detta: Jag skall hemsöka eder med förskräckelse, swulnad, och skälfwo, at edor ansikte förfalla, och edre kroppar försmäkta skola: I skolen fåfängt så edra säd, och edre fiender skola äta henne. | I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. |
| 17 | Och jag skall ställa mitt anlete emot eder, och I skolen warda slagne för edra fi endar. Och de som hata eder, skola råda öfwer eder, och I skolen fly, då ingen jagar eder. | And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. |
| 18 | Om I ändå icke hören mig, så skall jag ännu sju resor mer görat, til at näpsa eder för edra synder: | And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. |
| 19 | At jag edra högfärd och genstörtighet nederslå skall. Och jag skall göra edar himmel såsom jern, och edra jord såsom koppar. | And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass: |
| 20 | Och edro möda och arbete skall förtappadt wara, så at edart land icke skall gifwa sin wäxt, och trän i landet icke bära sina frukt. | And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits. |
| 21 | Och om I wandren mig emot, och icke wiljen höra mig; så skall jag ändå görat sju resor mer, til at slå eder för edra synders skull. | And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. |
| 22 | Och skall sända wilddjur ibland eder: De skola upäta edor barn, och förderfwa edar boskap, och förminska eder; och edre wägar skola warda öde. | I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate. |
| 23 | Om I ändå icke dermed låten rätta eder, och wandren mig emot; | And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; |
| 24 | Så skall jag ock wandra emot eder, och skall ännu slå eder sju resor mer för edra synders skull. | Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. |
| 25 | Och skall låta komma öfwer eder et hämndeswärd, det mitt förbund hämna skall. Och om I församlen eder uti edra städer, skall jag dock sända pestilentie ibland eder, och skall gifwa eder uti edra fienders händer. | And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. |
| 26 | Så skall jag ock förderfwa edars bröds tilråd, så at tio qwinnor skola baka sitt bröd i enom ugn, och edart bröd skall man utwäga med wigt; och när I äten, skolen I icke warda mätte. | And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied. |
| 27 | Om I dermed än icke hören mig, utan wandren mig emot; | And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; |
| 28 | Så skall jag ock i grymhet wandra emot eder, och skall sjufallt mer näpsa eder för edra synders skull; | Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. |
| 29 | Så at I skolen äta edra söners och döttrars kött. | And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. |
| 30 | Och jag skall borthäfwa edra högder, och edro beläte utrota, och skall kasta edra kroppar uppå edra afgudar, och min själ skall wämja wid eder: | And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. |
| 31 | Och skall göra edra städer öde, och edra kyrkor förlägga, och skall icke wilja lukta edra söta lukt. | And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. |
| 32 | Alltså skall jag göra landet öde, at edre fiender, som bo deruti, skola grufwa sig derföre. | And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. |
| 33 | Men eder skall jag förskingra ibland Hedningarna, och draga ut swärdet efter eder, at edart land skall blifwa öde, och edre städer omkull slagne. | And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. |
| 34 | Så skall då landena behaga sin helg, så länge det öde ligger, och I ären i fienda lande. Ja, då skall landet hålla helg, och dess helg thy behaga. | Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. |
| 35 | Så länge det öde ligger, skall det hålla helg: Derföre, at det icke kunde heligt hålla, då I skullen låtat heligt hålla, då I deruti bodden. | As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it. |
| 36 | Och de som återlefwas af eder, dem skall jag göra et bäfwande hjerta uti deras fiendars lande, så at et ruskande löf skall jaga dem; och skola fiy derföre, likasom et swärd jagade dem, och falla der som ingen jagar dem. | And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth. |
| 37 | Och den ene skall falla på den andra, lika såsom för swärd, och dock ingen jagar dem. Och I skolen icke töra duka eder up för edra ttendar. | And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies. |
| 38 | Och I skolen förfaras ibland Hedningarna, och edra fiendars land skall fräta eder up. | And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. |
| 39 | De som återlefwas, skola försmäktas i deras missgerningar uti fienda lande; och uti deras fäders missgerningar skola de försmäktas. | And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them. |
| 40 | Så skola de då bekänna sina missgerning, och sina fäders missgerning, i hwilkom de sig förtagit, och emot mig wandrat hafwa. | If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; |
| 41 | Derföre will jag ock wandra emot dem, och skall drifwa dem bort i deras fienda land. Då warder ju deras oomskorna hjerta sig ödmjukandes. Och då skall dem behaga deras missgerningars straff. | And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: |
| 42 | Och jag skall ihogkomma mitt förbund med Jacob, och mitt förbund med Isaac, och mitt förbund med Abraham; och skall tänka uppå landet, | Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. |
| 43 | Som af dem öfwergifwit är, och hafwer haft et behag til sina helg, medan det öde ligger ifrå dem, och dem behagar deras missgerningars straff, derföre, at de hafwa föraktat mina rätter, och deras själ hafwer haft en wämjelse til mina stadgar. | The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes. |
| 44 | Och om de än i ttenda land äro, hafwer jag likwäl icke förkastat dem, och icke så wämjat wid dem, och mitt förbund med dem skulle intet mer gälla; ty jag är HERren deras Gud. | And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God. |
| 45 | Och jag skall för dem ihogkomma mitt första förbund, då jag förde dem utur Egypti land för Hedningarnas ögon, at jag skulle wara deras Gud: Jag är HERren. | But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the Lord. |
| 46 | Desse äro de stadgar och rätter, och lag, som HERren emellan sig och Israels barn satt hafwer, på Sinai berg, genom Mose hand. | These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the Lord made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses. |
