| 2 | HERRE, över din makt gläder sig konungen; huru fröjdas han icke högeligen över din seger! | Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. |
| 3 | Vad hans hjärta önskar har du givit honom, och hans läppars begäran har du icke vägrat honom. Sela. | For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. |
| 4 | Ty du kommer honom till mötes med välsignelser av vad gott är; du sätter på hans huvud en gyllene krona. | He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. |

| 9 | Din hand skall nå alla dina fiender; din högra hand skall träffa dem som hata dig. | Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. |
| 10 | Du skall låta dem känna det såsom i en glödande ugn, när du låter se ditt ansikte. HERREN skall fördärva dem i sin vrede; eld skall förtära dem. | Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. |
