| 7 | Lakini tukiishi katika mwanga, kama naye alivyo katika mwanga, basi tutakuwa na umoja sisi kwa sisi, na damu yake Yesu Kristo, Mwanae, inatutakasa dhambi zote. | But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. |
| 8 | Tukisema kwamba hatuna dhambi, tunajidanganya wenyewe na ukweli haumo ndani yetu. | If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. |
| 9 | Lakini tukiziungama dhambi zetu, basi Mungu ni mwaminifu na mwadilifu, naye atatusamehe dhambi zetu na kututakasa na uovu wote. | If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. |
| 10 | Tukisema kwamba hatujatenda dhambi, tutakuwa tumemfanya Mungu mwongo, na neno lake halimo ndani yetu. | If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. |
