| 2 | Heerschappij en vreze zijn bij Hem, Hij maakt vrede in Zijn hoogten. | Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. |
| 3 | Is er een getal Zijner benden? En over wien staat Zijn licht niet op? | Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? |
| 4 | Hoe zou dan een mens rechtvaardig zijn bij God, en hoe zou hij zuiver zijn, die van een vrouw geboren is? | How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? |
| 5 | Zie, tot de maan toe, en zij zal geen schijnsel geven; en de sterren zijn niet zuiver in Zijn ogen. | Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. |
