1 Palabra que fue a Jeremías de Jehová, diciendo: Así habló Jehová Dios de Israel, diciendo: The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
2 Escríbete en un libro todas las palabras que te he hablado. Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
3 Porque he aquí que vienen días, dijo Jehová, en que tornaré la cautividad de mi pueblo Israel y Judá, dijo Jehová; y hacerlos he volver a la tierra que di a sus padres, y poseerla han. For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
4 Estas pues son las palabras que habló Jehová acerca de Israel y de Judá: And these are the words that the Lord spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
5 Porque así dijo Jehová: Hemos oído voz de temblor: espanto, y no paz. For thus saith the Lord; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
6 Preguntád ahora, y mirád si pare el varón; porque ví que todo hombre tenía las manos sobre sus lomos, como mujer de parto, y todos rostros se tornaron amarillos. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
7 ¡Ay! porque grande es aquel día, tanto que no haya otro semejante a él; y tiempo de angustia para Jacob, mas de ella será librado. Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
8 Y será en aquel día, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, que yo quebraré su yugo de tu cuello, y romperé tus coyundas, y extraños no le volverán más a poner en servidumbre: For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
9 Mas servirán a Jehová su Dios, y a David su rey, el cual los levantaré. But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
10 Tú pues, siervo mío Jacob, no temas, dice Jehová, ni te atemorices, Israel, porque he aquí que yo soy el que te salvo de lejos, y a tu simiente de la tierra de su cautividad; y Jacob tornará, y descansará, y sosegará, y no habrá quien espante: Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
11 Porque yo seré contigo, dice Jehová, para salvarte, y haré consumación en todas las naciones en las cuales te esparcí: en ti empero no haré consumación, mas castigarte he con juicio, ni te talaré del todo. For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
12 Porque así dijo Jehová: Desahuciado es tu quebrantamiento, y dificultosa tu llaga. For thus saith the Lord, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
13 No hay quien te ponga salud: no hay para ti cura ni medicinas. There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
14 Todos tus enamorados te olvidaron, no te buscan; porque de herida de enemigo te herí, de azote de cruel, a causa de la multitud de tu maldad, y de la multitud de tus pecados. All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
15 ¿Por qué gritas a causa de tu quebrantamiento? desahuciado es tu dolor; porque por la multitud de tu iniquidad, y de tus muchos pecados te he hecho esto. Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
16 Por tanto todos los que te consumen, serán consumidos, y todos tus afligidores, todos irán en cautividad, y los que te pisaron, serán pisados, y a todos los que hicieron presa de ti, daré en presa. Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
17 Porque yo haré venir sanidad para ti, y de tus heridas te sanaré, dijo Jehová; porque Arrojada te llamaron: Esta es Sión, no hay quien la busque. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
18 Así dijo Jehová: He aquí que yo hago tornar la cautividad de las tiendas de Jacob, y de sus tiendas habré misericordia; y la ciudad se edificará sobre su collado; y el palacio será asentado conforme a su costumbre. Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19 Y saldrá de ellos alabanza, y voz de gente que está en regocijo; y multiplicarlos he, y no serán disminuidos: multiplicarlos he, y no serán disminuidos. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Y serán sus hijos como de primero, y su congregación delante de mí será confirmada; y visitaré a todos sus opresores. Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
21 Y será su Fuerte de él, y su Enseñoreador de en medio de él saldrá, y hacerle he allegar cerca, y acercarse ha a mí; porque ¿quién es aquel que ablandó su corazón para llegarse a mí, dijo Jehová? And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord.
22 Y serme heis por pueblo, y yo seré a vosotros por Dios. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
23 He aquí que la tempestad de Jehová sale con furor; la tempestad que se apareja, sobre la cabeza de los impíos reposará. Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
24 No se volverá la ira del enojo de Jehová, hasta que haya hecho, y haya cumplido los pensamientos de su corazón. En el fin de los días entenderéis esto. The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
