1 Y fue palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo: Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Y tú, o! hijo del hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú, no juzgarás tú a la ciudad derramadora de la sangre? y le mostrarás todas sus abominaciones. Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.
3 Y dirás: Así dijo el Señor Jehová: Ciudad derramadora de sangre en medio de sí, para que venga su hora; y que hizo ídolos contra sí misma, para contaminarse. Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord God, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.
4 En tu sangre que derramaste, pecaste; y en tus ídolos que hiciste, te contaminaste; y has hecho acercar tus días, y has llegado a tus años: por tanto te he dado en vergüenza a las gentes, y en escarnio a todas las tierras. Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.
5 Las que están cerca, y las que están lejos de ti, se reirán de ti: sucia te llamarán de nombre, y grande en quebrantamiento. Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.
6 He aquí que los príncipes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, fueron en ti para derramar sangre. Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.
7 Al padre y a la madre despreciaron en ti: con el extranjero trataron con calumnia en medio de ti: al huérfano y a la viuda despojaron en ti. In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.
8 Mis santuarios menospreciaste, y mis sábados ensuciaste. Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.
9 Malsines hubo en ti para derramar sangre; y sobre los montes comieron en ti: hicieron suciedades en medio de ti. In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.
10 La desnudez del padre descubrieron en ti: la inmunda de menstruo forzaron en ti. In thee have they discovered their fathers’ nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.
11 Y cada uno hizo abominación con la mujer de su prójimo; y cada uno contaminó su nuera torpemente; y cada uno forzó en ti a su hermana, hija de su padre. And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.
12 Precio recibieron en ti para derramar sangre: usura y logro tomaste; y a tus prójimos defraudaste con violencia: olvidástete de mí, dijo el Señor Jehová. In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.
13 Y he aquí que herí mi mano a causa de tu avaricia que cometiste, y a causa de tus sangres que fueron en medio de ti. Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.
14 ¿Estará firme tu corazón? ¿tus manos serán fuertes en los días que yo haré contigo? Yo Jehová hablé, y haré. Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the Lord have spoken it, and will do it.
15 Y yo te esparciré por las gentes, y te aventaré por las tierras, y haré fenecer de ti tu inmundicia. And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.
16 Y tomarás heredad en ti en los ojos de las gentes, y sabrás que yo soy Jehová. And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
17 Y fue palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo: And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
18 Hijo del hombre, la casa de Israel se me han tornado en escoria; todos ellos como metal, y estaño, e hierro, plomo en medio del horno, escorias de plata se tornaron. Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.
19 Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto todos vosotros os habéis tornado en escorias, por tanto, he aquí que yo os junto en medio de Jerusalem. Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
20 Como quien junta plata, y metal, e hierro, y plomo, y estaño en medio del horno, para encender fuego en él para fundir: así os juntaré en mi furor, y en mi ira; y haré reposar, y fundiros he. As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.
21 Yo os juntaré, y soplaré sobre vosotros en el fuego de mi furor; y seréis fundidos en medio de él. Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.
22 Como se funde la plata en medio del horno, así seréis fundidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo Jehová habré derramado mi enojo sobre vosotros. As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the Lord have poured out my fury upon you.
23 Y fue palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo: And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
24 Hijo del hombre, di a ella: Tú, tierra, eres no limpia, ni rociada con lluvia en el día del furor. Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
25 La conjuración de sus profetas en medio de ella, como león bramando que arrebata presa: tragaron almas, tomaron haciendas y honra, aumentaron sus viudas en medio de ella. There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.
26 Sus sacerdotes hurtaron mi ley, y contaminaron mis santuarios: entre santo y profano no hicieron diferencia, ni entre inmundo y limpio hicieron diferencia, y de mis sábados escondieron sus ojos, y yo era profanado en medio de ellos. Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
27 Sus príncipes en medio de ella, como lobos que arrebatan presa, derramando sangre, para destruir las almas, para seguir la avaricia. Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.
28 Y sus profetas los embarraban con lodo suelto, profetizándoles vanidad, y adivinándoles mentira, diciendo: Así dijo el Señor Jehová: y Jehová no había hablado. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken.
29 El pueblo de la tierra oprimía de opresión, y robaba robo; y al afligido y menesteroso hacían violencia, y al extranjero oprimían sin derecho. The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
30 Y busqué de ellos hombre que hiciese vallado, y que se pusiese al portillo delante de mí por la tierra, para que yo no la destruyese, y no lo hallé. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
31 Por tanto derramé sobre ellos mi ira, con el fuego de mi ira los consumí; y di el camino de ellos sobre su cabeza, dijo el Señor Jehová. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.
